We had a wonderful stay at Periyar Villa Homestay. Rehna was very friendly and helpful and provided us with an excellent breakfast. The room was really spacious and comfortable with a private balcony overlooking trees. Set in a quiet location, but an easy distance to go to and from Thekkady or to the entrance to Periyar. Many thanks for the stay in your beautiful home, Bill and Justine Foster, Gloucestershire, UK
It's a little bit out of town on a quiet street, but still close enough that we could go back and forth, as we needed. The rooms are large and spotless and the family is extremely hospitable and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. This was one of the best places we stayed at on our trip through South India.
Hey guys, I avoid posting because there is not usually a lot to praise in my choice of properties. This one is a pleasant exception. On arrival we were welcomed and shown the house and facilities. Extremely well organised and comfortable property with a lovely family feel. Room is huge and on level two with private balcony. There is a fridge in the common breakfast/dining room for chilling your drinks. We enjoyed two different and very tasty breakfasts. The building is architecturally interesting for those that can appreciate that. Location is in back streets with lots of garden and trees surrounding, so it's very quite at night. A couple of minutes to town by tuk tuk. So highly recommended!! Cons: Yet to find anyone in India who can make good coffee, so if you're a tea drinker, you're all set. Cheers. Denis…
I liked everything about staying here from the wonderful hosts to our palace of a room to the wonderful breakfasts. We were trekking in the forest and this was the perfect base for us. We loved our time here and recommend it without reservation to other travellers.
Stayed here for one night .House is very beautiful.allocated room is very big and neat .Owner are very helpful and we visited their own plantation farm.there guide also explained about each plantation of different spices .We had to leave early morning 5am next-day .Rehna owner gave us yummy breakfast and fruits packed which helped us a lot .Very much recommended for everyone
We stayed here and used it as a base to visit Periyar tiger reserve and some local martial arts performance later. Family very nice, You enter through their livin area so plenty of interaction with host and kids. Had some laundry done that didnt cost much . Wide selection of food for breakfast . Rooms were nice for a homestay but being surrounded by vegetation you can expect some a few insects to be knocking around.
We stayed here for one night. Located in a small laneway in a leafy area a few km outside the centre with nothing obviously walkable in the vicinity so ideally you need transport. The room was immaculately clean and very spacious with a sofa/tv area and large bathroom. Nice extras eg biscuits. Breakfast was a nice variety of local and continental dishes. The family were always smiling and friendly. Online booking engine rate was cheaper than the walk-in rate, but they happily matched it. Highly recommended.
Amazing and comfortable villa. Family made us feel very welcome. The food is fantastic. Rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. Lovely balconies too. We stayed here for 3 nights. Would definitely recommend. Thank you.
The room was huge and beautifully decorated. We had a balcony with a rattan swing. Located a little ways out of town so it was quiet with lovely jungle views. Great place to stay if you want to visit Periyar National Park or see Kathakali and Martial Arts show in Thekkady and even go for an elephant ride. Breakfast delicious. The home owner was very accommodating.
Excellent reception and remarkable accommodation. Smile, advice and help for visits. A beautiful showcase of Kerala and a very pleasant family. It is really an address to recommend during a visit to Péryar. The comfort (space, beautiful decoration, storage) of the accommodation adds a warm contact with an Indian family and a hearty and tasty breakfast
