We stayed for 3 nights in this wonderful homestay that was the standard of a boutique hotel. Only 4 rooms, immaculately presented, clean and modern with loads of space including a balcony to sit out on. Fabulous setting surrounded by every imaginable exotic tree, fab birds (the jungle babbler our fave). We got a tour of the gorgeous spice, herb and fruit garden from the eager Sinden who was always available to us. We got to pick pepper corns too. The coffee from the plantation was delicious (you can buy it). The meals were the best we have had on our trip and used the ingredients from the garden (so fresh). The owner, Shidsi (not sure if I’ve spelt that right) is a man of huge kindness and generosity whose aim is to ensure his guests have a great time. Nothing was too much

I stayed here for 2 nights with a group of friends in January. The location is gorgeous and the property itself is lovely. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The hosts also made the stay by organising tours and making us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights and the minute we drove up the drive we relaxed. The homestay is cool, of a modern style with tiled floors , lots of space and light. The rooms were light and airy with stylish furniture and a modern bathroom with large shower and tiled floor and walls in light and dark grey tiles. The bed was huge and very comfortable, dressed with white linens. The towels provided were styled with the name of the homestay and were also white. The quality of the rooms and furnishings excellent. Breakfast was very good and the family were great hosts. Breakfast was hearty and included their own organic coffee, fresh juice, tea, omelette and traditional Indian Breakfast, baked banana and toast . All very tasty. The owners son ,George, took us on a tour of the plantation

The villa is stunning, stylish and surrounded by nature. Every detail has been considered. The rooms are generous, comfortable and clean. We stayed in the Mango room and the views were amazing, we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and watching nature surround us. The family’s plantation is very impressive and makes for a beautiful setting, close enough to the town for activities but perfectly secluded so you feel immersed in nature. The family themselves and their staff are so kind, helpful. They gave us great advice and booked us a trek in the national park, a massage, arranged cabs for us and kindly drove us to our trek. The food for breakfast was lovely, as was dinner which was very reasonably priced. The service and style of coffee and pepper is as good as many 5*

We travelled to Thekkady in November 2019 and stayed at The Coffee and Pepper Homestay. The rooms are beautiful; spotlessly clean with beautiful views. Breakfast is excellent and complimentary and dinner is available on request. The homestay is located on a spice plantation in spectacular landscape and Shiji the owner explained about all the different spices and coffee grown on the plantation. The coffee served was from the plantation and was the best coffee we had during our travels in India. Many thanks to Shiji and family for making our time in Thekkady so memorable.

This place is definitely 5-stars, the homestay is well-signed with very nice room, very good shower facilities, beautiful plantation and good ambiance. The owner Shiji is very kind and accommodating, They arranged breakfast for me in the early morning before my boat ride and Shiji also showed me his plantation and gave me some pepper to try at home. This is the best homestay/hotel I stayed throughout my whole Kerala trip. I advised anyone coming to Kumily to stay here.

A magical place so quiete and fool of green. You find yourself inside a marvellouse botanical garden taken with so much care and love from the properties. Everything here is wild and natural but at the same time placed in the right place. And that it means it has a big work behind. All the plantations are organic. The place is modern very clean but at the same time warm. The rooms are big with spectacular view, very big windows look at the magical scenari. It seemed a 5 star hotel. The bathroom is the best I've ever seen in 10 years in India. Shiji and his family are really nice, with a pure and sincere hearth, you feel immediately at home here. They cooked for me organic and fresh food very tasty and healty. Shiji made me a tour inside his properties and gave me a fruit I've

We stayed in Coffee and Pepper for 3 days and it was the most relaxing time ever. The couple who run the place are incredibly sweet, helpful, and kind. The whole place has a super positive feel about it and it's just 15 mins from Periyar lake. The food is so good that we would come back to the place just to have our meals there and as a parting gift they gave us some pepper and cloves from their beautiful plantation. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Thekkady to just relax and rejuvenate.

The place is very beautiful. Pleasant and comfortable. The rooms are upstairs and downstairs is the family sleeping. The room is large and very impressively decorated. The bed is huge and the bath overlooks the jungle landscape. The food is local and delicious and prepared by the hotel owner. I wouldn't recommend taking breakfast because it is not tasty. A traditional Indian breakfast that is less suitable for those who are unfamiliar. The owners of the place are very nice and help with everything. We enjoyed and loved very much!

This place is extremely beautiful. Located 5km from the busy and crowded Thekkady city market and 10min drive to Periyar Sanctuary. The interiors are nicely crafted with "spices" as the theme. Rooms are luxurious and spacious. The best part about the location is the host. They are extremely sweet, caring , accomodating and great cooks. They took us on the tour of their spice garden, made around the house. It's a place of you if you want to live literally in nature's lap. Beautiful, calm and serene. A must-stay
