Charming, homestay place. We were impressed by the personalized attention and service. Hotel was clean and comfortable. It was close to the attractions we planned to visit. Will come back and stay there again.
Worst homestay in thekkady.... The owner ladies are very rough character and misbehaviour..they are forcing to take jeep safari.....homestay location are not good..located infront of the main road..so very rush and big sound... No calm nd quiet...room service are very poor...bad smell in the room.... If you are looking to get homestay in thekkdy, then find another location......
A very well maintained and beautiful household property maintained by Lissi mam and saket sir a very nice host. They are relax and enjoying people . Morning breakfast was really very nice . Every thing was home cooked and made. Enjoyed a lot our stay here
I traveled with my family to Periyar National Park and stayed at Bamboo Creak. Lizy runs this homestay and is a very nice person. She will take care of all your needs, if you have any last minute requests. I am giving this place 4.0 rating as my family had hot water problems during our 2 day stay. We didn't seem to understand the hot water issue and had to take cold showers in the morning. Some other folks who I met at homestay were also facing hot watrer problems. There doesn't seem to be any self-made coffee/tea machine in the room. Lizy arranged for us to see the Kathakali and Kalari (martial arts) shows at a discounted rate. She was also able to help us arrange the taxi for our travel to Allepey from Kumily. Overall a pretty decent homestay!
We really liked it, room was spacious and bright with view and balcony to the small 'home's jungle', bed and linens were good, and hot water was working. My highlight was the breakfast, i loved it, jackfruit (from the tree in the garden), toasts and homemade honey, omelets and the amazing fresh mango juice :) So thanks to this smiley couple for a nice time!
Peaceful location. Balcony available. We got the room at reasonable price. The owner and staff speaks English. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was not kept clean and water flow from taps were very minimal. Hence had requested for a different room but the owner was not willing to do so despite we being the only guests who had checked in.
Good location. And spacious rooms. City centre very close. Need to add some toiletries in the bathroom. And a hook to hang clothes. Overall pleasant stay. Good Kerala Breakfast. Car park good for about 6 cars
Lissy and her husband were the absolute best hosts I could have asked for! They helped with arranging transportation to Kumily, book tourist activities during my stay, and had the best home-cooked meals. Lissy absolutely went above and beyond and was always available by text when needed. It was such a gift to have found them. The room was also in excellent condition-- mine even had a balcony off the room which was lovely. The place overall was just stunning. They do an excellent job maintaining the property.
I’m with my girlfriend in Thekkady after Cochi and Munnar. The room is confortable and clean, bathroom with hot water, the owners are very nice and disponibles (they proposed us an early breakfast before our jeep safari at 5 am). The position is perfect, green and with all facilities close the hotel, not in the busy area of Kumily. Perfect for your Thekkady’s stay.
We stayed at Bamboo Creak homestay during our visit to Thekkady. We fell in love at first sight with the place. It's so beautiful and well maintained. Moreover, it has all modern amenities. Lizzy and her husband are so caring and warm. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. Mornings began with a sumptuous breakfast prepared by Lizzy and her helper, served at her dining table. It felt like a second home. If you plan to visit Thekkady, Bamboo Creak is the place to stay
