Great getaway from the hustle and bustle of Peruvian cities. Hostel Pachamama was a great base point for trekking and had super wonderful English speaking staff to help with all your needs. They also look like they really enjoy their jobs which is nice to see. Have their food. You won't regret it. My only thing was the amount of...

Owner Manu is very friendly and helped us sort things out when we were left stranded in Cabanaconde by Oasis Palmeras tour company who didn’t have room for us on their bus The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve stayed in and has a real duvet instead of those itchy heavy blankets most places give you. Hot shower....

We travelled independently to the Colca Canyon with plans for a 2 day hike but no reservations, except the first night at Pachamama. We arrived by bus in the late afternoon and were greeted warmly by the staff at Pachamama who provided us with all the information and a map for the hike, plus tons of advice on which routes...

Best place to stay in Cabanaconde when visiting the Colca Canyon. Manu was great with helping us with the questions we had about our trek and helped make us a plan for our couple days in the Canyon. The food at Pachamama was incredible. The pizza was delicious and the rest of the menu was extensive and impressive. The rooms...

Pachamama was an excellent place to start our trek. The room was clean and had lots of blankets to stay warm at night. The food was delicious and the pisco was plentiful! Also, Manu was really helpful before we left holding a little orientation meeting and helping people going to the same places team up. We had a great time...

Awesome, super set up place to start your colca canyon hike. Staff actually sit down with you and help you plan out your route. Nice breakkie makes it worth the price! Food looked awesome but out of our price range. Two for one happy hour was lovely - get the hot pisco, run from the Machu Picchu (mint and grenadine?...

Fantastic hostel. Hot water shower and well-equipped considering it's location. The pizzas are also really something to write home about - although we had read that they were good, we were still surprised at the fact that they were! Highly recommended!

The hike up the Colca Canyon is real hard, so you need a proper reward in the evening. For that, just go to Patchamama. The food is great, although a bt pricey and the homemade Pisco Sours are just beautiful. Also you can sleep there for reasonable prices. Oh, and you get pizzas, too, if you want :)
