I stayed here for a friends wedding at the end of August. They booked it for me so I wasn't sure what to expect. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was shown to my room which was a good size and a twin. The decor is crazy, the wallpaper, carpet, bedding do not match at all. There is carpet...

Great hotel with a homely feel, lots of quirky knick knacks. We checked in and headed to the bar, pub within the hotel, great value food and drink. All the staff were friendly and professional. Our room had plenty of hangers, hair dryer and coffee and tea facilities. Walk in shower with shower gel and soap. Breakfast was delicious and...

We were extremely surprised to find that the accommodation at this traditional small town hotel far exceeded our expectations. Our room was of a very high standard and one of the most comfortable and spacious that we stayed in during a 2 month tour around the UK.

I booked this hotel for our family as we were attending a wedding in the area. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't have done more for us. We had a toddler with us and she was well looked after also.

Stayed for just the 1 night in July. Room was Ok if a little on the small side. Decoration/decor was somewhat out of date but it was a comfortable enough stay. Short walk from the hotel into the town centre. Did not stay for breakfast.

Flying visit for a wedding. Staff on the phone were extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived very late indeed to another warm welcome from the night porter. Room wasn't spacious but had a lovely en suite and comfy bed. 2 mins from the railway station. Given the reasonable rates I thought this constituted excellent value although I can't judge the...

The Railway is a friendly and clean establishment. It is slightly quirky, but only in a good way. Rooms comfortable and staff ready to help. Delicious breakfast. Would recommend and is definitely value for money.

When you arrive at a venue and find semi derelict vehicles in the carpark there is a degree of concern as to what one is getting into. The reception is very small but the gentleman that looked after us was very pleasant and informative about the rules of the house. This includes locking up a 11pm. Our room was satisfactory...

Would recommend this hotel for good value accommodation. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Perfectly acceptable with a comfortable large bed and spare bed put up for our daughter. Everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
