We have just spent the weekend at The Star as we were at a wedding in Burnham, From the minute we arrived, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Lovely accommodation with separate kitchen/lounge. The kitchen had a hob and fridge but we only needed tea/coffee facilities which they provide. We had a double and single bed and en-suite shower. Everything...

Love this place. Always good service. Great friendly pub. Staff always helpful and fun. Cosy and warm with the open fire in the winter and a great outdoor area for the summer. Great selection of beers and spirits too.

The pubs in Burnham are relatively well split in terms of demographic - modern/gastro-pub (i.e. The Ship Inn), alternative crowd/younger vibe (i.e. The Anchor Inn), unapologetically old school (Queens Head) and those with genuine character and old school charm (i.e. White Hart) - the Star falls into that last category, but is quite a bit larger than the White Hart...

Visiting family & went here for lunch as we have done in the past. Always a nice place to go with good food. All the food went down well & was freshly cooked. The scampi was cooked perfectly. All 9 meals came together & were very enjoyable. The menu is very limited, it is the perfect setting for a Sunday...

Food was all fine, quite tasty, good portions. The chips were very nice (proper chips) though all the main meals seemed to come only with chips. Children's chicken nuggets (with chips!) were good - 'real' chicken rather than reconstituted. It would be useful if they displayed the specials in the main bar, rather than at the far end where you...

We called at this pub at lunch time and as a pub to just have a drink I would have said it was very good, a great selection of ales and wine at fantastic and realistic prices. The bar staff are friendly and welcoming and the pub itself is comfortable warm and what could be termed as a "real pub"....
