Its not until I actually reached there did I fully understand what a beautiful place it is. I would recommend this place to anyone who desire a slices of Sea. The resort is just abuts the tranquil Gulf of Mannar and one can hear the gentle lapping of the waves if one opens the windows. Its a small property built to a modest eco style resort, but what a location- Words can't express it. You must visit it to feel it. I used to take my afternoon siesta by the lounge sitting on those old fashioned jute recliners, being lulled to sleep by the gentle lapping of the waves. The staff is extremely helpful and cooperative and in 2 days I made some good friends there. The food is homely and blissful and the activities like Scuba Diving, Kayaking and Kite Surfing make it a fun filled package. Its truly an hidden gem waiting to be discovered.

Gem! A hidden place known for warm hospitality and turquoise waters. The Kite surfing academy and scuba diving centre are top class and run by experienced individuals.

Sunrise and sunsets can be enjoyed with a coffee in hand and pet dog in the other. Some deep conversations on the flora and fauna to enhance your knowledge. The family is extremely warm and courteous.

Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!
Can't wait to go back. The place is off the beaten path, but totally worth it. Their reading nook by the sea was my escape and the food and snacks never stopped. And did I mention how delicious the food was. One of the days the kids helped with the pizza making as well. Don't think twice, this place will blow you away.

The property is just off the ocean and you can hear the waves lapping the shore. The dining area and the sit out are wonderful places to just chill with a book. The shallow waters around the bay are perfect for kayaking for the uninitiated. The snorkeling experience was well organised and professionally handled. I just tried the introduction to kite surfing since we didn't have enough time on our trip to take the complete course. I felt it was overpriced but it was interesting. The food is great and the kitchen serves you amazing veg options. Carry your own drinks and you are set... The rooms are average, basic and clean. They are designed so that you spend most of your time outdoors anyway. We took a long walk across the salt flats to try to spot flamingoes, no luck there. Pick a nice time of the year and you can chill in and around the property with the 11 friendly dogs that are around.

The hosts are friendly and chatted with all of us. Would definitely like to visit again sometime.

Went as a family of 12 (8 adults and 4 children) and had the best time of our life. Photos , website and reviews do not do justice to this place, the attitude of the team, the delicious food, million photo ops, fun activities, Arjun and his wonderful Mom. I can keep going on and on about each of the above reasons.

A must visit location and you will definitely keep going back.We are already planning for a weekend stay so that we can enjoy all the activities at a more relaxed pace.

The owners of this place Rohini & her son Arjun are great hosts. Made us feel very comfortable & welcome. The food was excellent & the sea views are awesome. The trip to a near by island in the early morning is worth it. Great place for a weekend getaway.

On our way south to Cape Comerine, Kanyakumari through a friend we heard of Aqua Outback in Tuticorin. We stopped over for a couple of days and enjoyed the peaceful tranquillity of the seaside getaway. The cottages overlooked the ocean, extremely quiet neighborhood and the private beaches was a treat. The Hamilton Bay always invited us for a swim and the home cooked meals was a treat to remember

We were a large group of 17 - 10 adults and 7 kids ranging from 5-10 years. This was my second trip to AO in 3 months and while my first was part of an office manager off site trip, this was with very close friends and family. The rest of my group had never been here before and i was keen to see if it would exceed my already high esteem of the place. It did and how!

We spent 3 nights here and every waking hour was spent either in the water or in close proximity to the water. We kayaked, swam, snorkeled, saw the lovely corals on the reefs that Arjun and his team have developed, tons and tons of jellyfish, made a trip to their family run salt factory, climbed up and down the salt pans, had a couple of rescue operations while kayaks drifted out to sea, shrieked in fear and delight as tiny javelinfish flew into our kayaks almost upending us, and lay back late at night in the balcony looking up at a cloudless sky just exploding with stars and testing our limited knowledge of the many many constellations. Oh and we ate!
Muniasami and Madasamy are a two man tango team that excels at running this place independently. The food was just outstanding and homely, not like the rich heavy hotel food... But rather something delicious your grandmom made for you and your friends. Most of the recipes have been handed down from Arjun's mother whom we had the pleasure of meeting who put together an elaborate treasure hunt for the kids with a truly authentic pirates map and a treasure. The BBQ was absolutely brilliant.
It was like having an extended family over to stay with you. Arjun and his family hung out with us regaling us with stories on how they set it up and the adventures they had. They give you your space but are always around if you need something.
As I sit and write this I'm still utterly tanned, the saltwater still in my lungs and my arms still hurt with the many hours of kayaking. But I'd go back to Aqua Outback in a heartbeat.
Go now. Do yourself a favour.

We arrived at lunch on December 31st and were met by the entire Motha family, including "Rafael" the family dog. Very welcoming atmosphere and staff which met our every need. The entire place is extremely well thought out with comfortable accommodations and clean facilities. Spectacular food and a few cocktails to lead us into the evening. We laughed and danced into the New Year. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience. I'll surely return one day!

Arjun Motha, the owner, a kite surfing champion, has converted old buildings right on the seashore into accommodation.
Who's this for: Nature lovers, adventure gamers. You can eat sitting in a shack on the beach!
Don't go: If you need TV, if you demand to be pampered and entertained.

Hi, You can fly/drive/train/coach to Tuticorin and the Manager will arrange transport for you to Aqua Outback by Car. You need to select which mode of travel will accommodate your dog. I guess pets will be allowed, but you need to check with the Manager. Enjoy.
