Resort have no proper management. Very less staff to manage like key locker , swimming pool food and other activities. Either they are no staff or 1 which makes uncomfortable. Swimming pool is so dirty and more over kids and adults have pool water mixing so it's make more dirty. Rain dance music was horrible.a lots of bash with horrible sound system. showers are not managed well which can provide good flow. It's small resort where they don't have much activities to do.

Absolutely disgusted with this place! Booked at 8k for New Year’s and nothing in this resort justifies this absurd pricing. From the time we reached here till the time we checked out, we experienced a series of disappointments. We waited 3 hours to get our rooms- and mind you, this was after the check-in time. Very rude and unprofessional reception staff that instead of accepting their mistake, were of the view that you can checkout late the next day. While we waited, we were asked to have lunch which was basically a large dirty mess-like dining hall with hundreds of people (devotees we were told) queueing up for a langar-style meal and eating while sitting on rocks and the floor. We didn’t eat there obviously and went to Rasta Cafe for our lunch. The Jacuzzi in our room was basically a stupid bathtub that leaked and there was soap water all over our bathroom. None of the functionalities in the Jacuzzi worked. We ordered dinner and it was terrible. No room service menu. The room service staff basically just tells you the name of the dishes available like in a road-side dhaba. This is the first time in our lives that we had Chilli Chicken with bones in it. Had our complimentary breakfast that was again worse than a hostel mess. Hardly any food options and the setup was in a dirty cave. All the indoor games (foosball table, TT table, Billiards and Carrom board) were broken due to wear and tear and it was impossible to get a decent game out of them. The resort was filled with swarms of random local people the entire day who apparently came for a day outing and there wasn’t a moment’s worth of peace throughout our stay. It was literally like a Mela with groups of people sitting around on bedsheets like a picnic in a park. If you’re looking for a decent resort stay, please don’t waste your time and money here. You will be disappointed.

Only one word for this resort - PATHETIC! This is NOT a family resort, especially if you have an infant/ toddler with you. 1. They DO NOT have a sitting arrangement for food, you have to stand and eat. The hall (if I can call it so) where they serve food is so unhygienic. Around 100 people are served food at a time in a small area (most of whom are not wearing masks). 2. When we questioned it, they directed us to another hall where they had 200+ people eating like there was a langar. You will think we can order at the room – yes you can but if you are ready to beg 10 staff members for it and wait for 2 hours for food to be delivered after 10 phone calls & reminders. 3. They DO NOT have tea bags for rooms! When we asked for it they said they don’t have it. This was so unimaginable for us 4. The property is so random and not maintained at all. The direction boards are all broken and there is absolutely NO ONE to guide you. It took us 45 mins just to understand where to park, where to get the keys, where the rooms were and where can we get something to eat. 5. They had SAME MENU morning & evening (we couldn’t stand this place for more than a day but heard the menu is same EVERYDAY!) 6. They had 350+ people in the resort when we checked in, and absolutely NO COVID PROTOCOL followed 7. The rooms, though decent enough in size, had ants on the bed, which bit my 2-year-old daughter 8. They are hugely understaffed. Be prepared for a super terrible service (followed by unapologetic responses/ justifications) 9. It is HIGHLY overpriced for the services (or NO services at all!) 10. When we highlighted our inconveniences, they said we can leave, and they would refund. We did that and after 3 days of waiting they refused that they cannot refund!! We really doubt the authenticity of any good feedback about this place (maybe its fine for morning-evening, but please DO NOT plan staying at this place). The management & staff of this place will do their best to harass you and make you cry for choosing this place.

Visited Shilhaandara on March 5, 2021 and stayed there for 2 nights. Ours was a group of 4 adults, 2 kids and a 3-month old baby. The stay was awesome, and I highly recommend the resort to those looking for a weekend destination close to Bangalore. It is a great getaway for nature-lovers, adventure-sports lovers, families with kids/infants, couples, large groups as well as solo travelers. Read on for more details - Pros: 1. Large campus amid beautiful natural settings. Surrounded closely by the granite hills and forests of Ramanagara. 2. The campus is designed to maintain aesthetic harmony with the surrounding nature. It offers ample greenery, long winding walkways and lovely viewpoints. The structures like buffet dining area, fish spa and adventure sports areas etc. are designed to look 'carved out of rocks', which gives a historical feel to the whole experience. 3. We stayed in Standard Rooms of the Soumithre block. It is a beautifully-architected dome-shaped building with an open top. The rooms we occupied offered beautiful view of the hills and forests outside. The Pool rooms are higher-priced as they have attached personal pools, but they offer no view. 4. As mentioned earlier, we traveled with a 3-month old baby. The rooms were very well-maintained, there was no hygiene concern and the stay felt very safe for the baby. 5. The campus offers adventure sports and fun activities like zip line, quad-biking, shooting, paint ball etc. Now, for some reason (social distancing norms?), many of these activities seemed unavailable during our stay although we saw the infrastructure. In any case, we were not interested in any of the activities, so we didn't enquire further. 6. The campus is kid-friendly with open as well as indoor play area for kids. The kids (4-5 year olds) in our groups had great fun! Cons: 1. The food menu (esp breakfast) is quite limited. No fruit juices available.

Was here on 31 dec 2020 with extended family, for a day trip. The infrastructure is basic and for the entry fee of 850/- (without breakfast) all you get is a lunch and a high tea with free entry to pool and carrom board! Rest all is chared. The cane sugar, juice, pop corn, zip liner , zorbing, fish spa, every thing is charged. The staff do not answer an of the questions willingly. Food served is just average.

Serious safety incident
This place is not safe, there were no cameras around especially at the zipline area. One of the staff molested me, and pushed me off on the zipline before I could scream. When I complained to management, they did not accept that this happened and they blamed me. After I called the police, the management begged me not to file a complaint and said that they was handle it quietly. Overall terrible experience, no support for women's safety from the staff at all, infact they were shaming me at first. Shame on this resort.

Shilhaandara in Ramanagara is beautifully complimenting the natural rockscape. It creates a wonderful experience. The activities are also very adventurous and thrilling. Lot of food options in the buffet. The stay at this resort is an added experience..it is calm and cool at night.
