I visited Marvin dessert camp in late Oct 21. This was my second visit to Jaisalmer.

I am a travel blogger, and I was willing to experience the wilderness of the raw dessert, night sky and a peaceful stay experience.

And I am so thankful that it finally happened.

The camp is located quite in the interior from main road, beautifully located on a slight elevated land patch which gives it advantage for people who prefer peaceful time during travel and want to spend time in nature.

The staff at Marvin arranged a dessert safari in quite intact and beautiful dunes, the wind patterns on sand were so beautiful. I could see spectacular night sky as there was no light pollution.

The camp site is an adventure too. Once you start following google map location, you will feel that there is nothing here, but once you start enjoying the route which takes you close to the camp it is thrilling to see such vast land and the first glimpse of camp is worth.

It has a decent size bed room and attached washroom . They do provide basic toilet needs such as hot/warm water, soap, towels etc. The camp was clean which is very important during the pandemic times. There was mosquito repellent in the tent.

It doesn't have AC, and the night was cold enough in Oct.

Staff was really helpful and understood needs of the travelers. Candle light Rajasthani dinner and hospitality at the camp was amazing. Mr. Raju and Rahab at the camp were really helpful.

They provide jeep and camel safari. I did jeep safari to reach beautiful dunes and spent some time with Jonny (my camel) we clicked some really nice pictures. As I find it bit harsh to use animals for safari but sitting with Jonny was pleasant. ❣️

I had to leave from the camp early morning, Mr Raju even got me tea in the morning. I felt like home away from home.

For me undoubtedly hospitality, culture, dessert, sky gazing at camp was important highlights of the trip.

Happy to share some amazing experiences from my visit.

Camping in desert
Stay at Marwin camp during my Jaisalmer trip, the camp has a very unique location. It is situated on higher dune and has very less light and sound pollution. Great for people who want to experince serene and quite camping experince in desert. The staff was hospitable and friendly. I checked in little late by then the lunch hours were over. However, they prepared meal of my choice separately, it was quite considerate of them as one wont get anything else close to the camp location. I completely enjoyed my stay. The tent was airy, and had good light. It was a non AC camp, however, they have provided AC. I didnt really had to use it as desert gets cold at night

Marvin Desert camp stay
During my winter trip to Jaisalmer I stayed at Marvin desert camp in Sam. The camp was located in the interior from the main road which gives it an advantage of a unique location. The night at the camp was calm, there was hardly any light pollution because of which stars were clearly visible. I loved the camp fire at night with endless snacking options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. Rajasthan is known for its hospitality and the staff of Marvin camp was true example of it. Thanks for such a great welcome :)

Best services, we visited the camp site for dessert safari and camel ride, had one of best camping experiences with them. The best part is campsite location is very much inside the dessert , which makes you feel closer towards the dessert and far from the city's noise and localisation. The stay was comfortable and tents were big enough to accommodate. i would recommend this 100% if you are trying to book a campsite.

Marvin camp-Sam
This was my first camping experience in the desert. And I had the best one I feel. The camp was easy to locate, google directions is rightly tagged. We had a great time at the camp, these were decent size huts with washroom. It must have been 15 camps in the premises. I felt quite homely with the warm hospitality of the Marvin team. Check in process was smooth, they asked for the ID proof and I had an advance payment made during booking. Food was great, they served buffet breakfast and dinner. There was tea/coffee/snacks at evening cultural event. The sunset was amazing, we got jeep from the camp which took us in the dunes. It was an amazing experience I must say. Highly recommended.

I visited Marvin camp during October month, the camp was amazing. I had a nicely maintained camp with attached washroom. The camp had basic amenities like drinking water, a fan, small side tables, lamps. The camp can be zipped from inside and outside for privacy. Loved the vibe of the property at night, there was cultural event, dance, amazing folk music. Loved the Rajasthanii food, totally in love with ker sangri and churma. The staff was treated us so well, I loved the overall experience. Thank you Marvin camp, will surely visit again someday :)

Marvin camps-sam
I had a great time with family at Marvin camps. The camp is located on a higher dune in interieor of the desert and you would not see it from the main road. But trust me that is the real beauty of the camp. It is quite secluded and a best place for nature lovers. If you are someone who want to look at the star studded sky with good folk music and Rajasthni food, it is ur cup of tea. Staff is good, hospitality was 10/10. Deserts get cold at night and while gazing at the starts outside my camp, i felt like having a nice cup of coffee, t around 11 pm also the kitchen staff accepted my request with such a warm smile.
It is a must try.

It was a lovely experience at whole desert area we visited. I specially like to thank Kamal ji for his wonderful arrangements at Marvin Camp, sun set at Sam sand dunes and Gazi hotel at Jaisalmer. The food was delicious, the choorma with deshi ghee and dry fruits was having a mouth watering and super taste. I also like to mention about the interior of the tent. It was amazing on affordable price.
