Our stay was good, quiet place with lots of birds and beautiful scenery, there is a private beach which is close by, we had out best time there enjoying the beach walk and waves. Room is good and spacy, service is good especially Ali was very helpful. Kerala food was awesome and tasty, just take care food has to be hot when it is served.

• We really enjoyed our time at this beach house. The location is beautiful and there's a small semi-private beach just for the guests. The host was really remarkably helpful and particularly in being accommodating of our requests for different local foods and we ate some really sumptuous meals here! I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet restful vacation by a beautiful beach.

The place is also really nice and peaceful, located along the river where you can watch (and listen to) plenty of exotic birds while you are drinking a homemade chaï or fresh coconut water right from the tree. The beach is 2 minutes walking from the house and remains wild, you will probably be alone or almost, if you want to relax and/or swim there. Staff is always available for drinks, food or whatever you like to get. There is lot of space in the rooms and they are well furnished and really clean. Cherry on the cake (like we say in French), Biju (who you must call Kaluni) work as tourism consultant so he can arrange sightseeing, shopping, restaurants, taxi / tuk tuk... Etc. Enjoy ;-)

Little paradise with an amazing hospitality. A simple and authentic place, with the best authentic Kerala food we've tried on our journey. Sha is an amazing host and did everything to make sure that we have the best stay, bringing us fruits and toddy, and helping to navigate the events in the local temples. This homestay has also a perfect spot for bird watching. It's located 5 minutes away from the beach, and the walk to the beach through the coconut groves, with backwater views is so gorgeous. Thank you Sha!

Hosting of Mr Sha is best feeling.Excillent tastey organic food. Beautiful natural location beach house with adjucent backwater having many kind of birds feeling Shanti place.all of good. Cons :- 1. Food is at all good and very reasonable (better make some arrangements for your stay). 2. Rooms are so very clean and higenic. Special note for resort Staff :- We were confirmed that all the t rooms we have booked will get balcony and sea view. But on reaching to the place they provided three rooms with balcony. Other had to adjust with a basic room with least posible amenities. So travelling this far to occupy a normal room and paying for a standard room was worth it. We suggest to trust the staff. By any chance if you are travelling to Kannur I would recommend to opt for this place. In case, if this is the last available option you have then I would suggest you to stay back at your home no change the destination rather it's have batter for you.partners mood.Now let us go for good feeling if Shanti.…

Shah is a wonderful host.. we had a good time during the stay in Kannur. he is very informative and can provide you good advise on places to visit. The home stay is about 5 mins walk away from the Thottada private beach.. very scenic backwaters.. its very calm and nice place for leisure

We arrived much earlier than planned however the family were fine and accommodated us and gave us a room and breakfast which was very nice. However the cab driver could not find this place from the station and despite asking lots of locals took awhile to find, eventually the owner met us and took us there. It was 500 rupees by cab from the station in October 2018. Unfortunately the path to the beach was blocked by water so had to go through water up to my thigh to get to beach which was not ideal, as the water was not overly clean. My traveling companion did not want to go in the water which is understandable so could not get to the beach. The owner offered to drive us to the beach but this defeated the point really. We wanted a place where we could see and hear the sea and in this place we could not. The food was ok but if you can't get to the beach there is very little you can do, and it feels very remote. Ideally you need a car to get here. My companion was also ill so decided to leave early as nothing else to do. The room was clean. This is a newly opened place so would be good if they get signs up along the road so people can find location.…
