My wife and I found this auberge in a TV programme which presented in such an attractive way that we were convinced to visit there. Out of 5 twin bedrooms we booked the largest room with bath looking down to a northern valley view with a tip of Mt.Fuji and Ohito town. A very good room just fine to stay overnight after a good dinner. The dining room also has a wide and tall glass wall toward the same scene. So, while dining, one could see the view with glittering lights in the dark valley. One could imagine that it is indeed located at top of the northern edge of Mr. Izu. There were only 5 tables each for 2 guests. The foods were served from only a few yards behind. About 16 plates were served for about 50 kinds of foods. We can not remember exactly how many. Quite a lot any way each with a small quantity. Varieties and qualities are the emphasis. Local river and sea fishes, local chicken, Spanish Jamon, Iberico pork and vegetables grown in the nearby garden, etc. were all cooked in... More
