This pub/hotel was absolutely stunning, a hectic Christmas meant my partner and I needed some serious R&R which is what we got at The Bell. With 2 beautiful fireplaces, lovely food and a stunning room we left feeling wonderfully relaxed & revitalised. Thank you to Tracy, Colm & all the staff for looking after us. we'll be back in the...

We have just returned from a wonderful break to this hotel. All the staff are so friendly, as were the locals who all made us feel very welcome. With two open fires, giving the hotel a cosy feel, we were lucky enough to sit by one for our dinner and the other for a chat and chill. The Inn is...

I wanted a place to relax, enjoy, with nice food a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere. That is exactly what I got. The management and staff go out of there way to make your stay exactly what you are looking for. The location is beautiful and what you would expect from the Cotswold's, peaceful beautiful and rural. At the Inn...

Lovely little hotel in an equally lovely village. We had a very warm welcome by Tracy and employees. There was a wood burning fire in the hearth, which is apparently prone to catching fire if they are not careful. It did create a woody, smoky smell throughout the hotel too. Anyhow there was a good range of drinks available, to...

Many thanks for you review. I am pleased that you will come back and stay with us and you are more than welcome. My husband and myself are working hard to improve all areas of our Inn so we embrace all comments to help us along. The building is 500 years old so the little creeks in the floor boards...

We chose this hotel because it was a convenient meeting place. Tracy and Colm are very welcoming and tried very hard to please. They are relatively new to the trade and this showed slightly in some areas. I'm sure in time they will iron out any issues. Our main gripes were with the food. We were put on a table...

Myself and my partner stayed at The Bell this weekend and we cant speak highly enough of our stay. The owners Colm and Tracy are welcoming, warm and entertaining - nothing is too much trouble for them and they really add the personal touch. My partner is from Ireland and Colm had the Pogues playing and the Guinness flowing in...

Comfortable accommodation. Colm and Tracy are very welcoming and the rest of the staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed three nights in this delightful hotel/pub in the lovely village of Charlbury in the Cotswolds. Would recommend a stay here and hopefully we will have a trip to The Bell again.

Such a shame that this just misses the mark. It is owned by Greene King and leased to the latest couple to have a go at making a success of what could be a charming country inn. Colm and Tracy are welcoming but their lack of experience was evident. We visited it for a midweek pub lunch. There were three...

What a gorgeous place! I have never been before but heard poor reviews all I can say is the new owners must have really made a difference - friendly welcome, good decor which balanced the historic features of the beautiful building with modern touches. The open fire in the main bar was welcome on such a cold eve! We didn't...
