As part of our holiday we were booked to stay at Foxleigh Barn during our walking holiday. This is a beautiful converted barn, maintained to the highest standard. Pete and Lynn were wonderful hosts making us feel more than welcome into their home. Our room was lovely, full bathroom with tea and coffee facilities. We ate in the local pub...

Friends and I stayed at Foxleigh Barn during a South Downs Walk organised by Footprints of Sussex. Two of us arrived on a late, hot afternoon after a roller coaster day leaving us tired and dusty. The Barn is on the SDW so no need for any detours, as others have mentioned, most appreciated at the end of the day....

We stayed at Foxleigh Barn whilst walking the South Downs Way. Our hosts Lin and Pete could not have been more charming and obliging. Foxleigh Barn has been beautifully decorated and dressed and everything was spotlessly clean. Our breakfast was delicious and we were spoilt for choice. Lin and Pete even took a photo of our gathering, which they presented...

Not only Pete and Lynn are the perfect hosts, warm, chatty, helpful, interesting but not intruding, but their house, a beautifully converted barn, lifts the spirits the moment you walk in. Full of light, spacious, different. We had a room on the first floor with a small corridor and a bathroom, all clean, cosy and comfortable. Pete and Lynn really...

Lin and Pete opened a day early for us at the start of their 2016 season. Previous excellent reviews say it all and I can add that the same high standard is still in place. Initially, the main attraction is that the barn is right on the South Downs Way - a welcome sight after a 12 mile walk from...

This was our fifth night's stay for the South Downs Way and what a stay it was. After Orchard House in Winchester, we knew it would be hard to find something as nice or nicer than that but Foxleigh was absolutely flawless. This was one B&B that I really wanted to 'snag' and thankfully the owner answered with "Yes, we...

My wife and I stayed here last week during our walk along the South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne. Foxleigh Barn is pretty much half way along the route and even better it sits right next to the Way itself, so no long walk at the end of the day and start of the next day, to get to...

The first thing that strikes you as you arrive at the front door is the really imaginative conversion that Peter and Lynn have achieved. The glorious spacious entrance and split staircase are complemented by the wonderful light that abounds from the extensive glazing on front and to the back of the magnificent entrance. Such a pity then that we arrived...

We've not stayed here but this lovely barn conversion stands out every time we drive past as Sylvester lives here. If nothing else, this place brings a smile to our faces. It should be listed as a place to visit. We always check out Sylvester in the window whenever we pass. For sure, we will stay here one day. This...
