Visited The Millstream for a three course lunch for our Wedding Anniversary. The ambience is lovely, very relaxed & very efficient service. The meal was excellent ... the twice baked soufflé with blue cheese was great... we didn't want it to finish. Mains & Dessert great too. Highly recommended for a celebration or special occasion.

We have stayed at The Millstream 4 or 5 times over the last few years – and it does not disappoint. Our ground floor room was nicely decorated with comfortable settees and a 6’ 0” bed, and patio doors out onto a fairly private patio. There are conventional tea / coffee making facilities plus a Tassimo machine. The bathroom was...

We stayed for a night in a cottage suite overlooking the gardens. There appears to be quite a range of room types from different architectural periods, so worth clarifying your selection. I suspect we had one of the nicer options. Staff were attentive. The food at dinner was of a very high standard. The decor is traditional rather than trendy....

We had a very pleasant stay last weekend. Our room (No. 9), a superior double was clean, well furnished and being triple aspect was lovely and light. Situated above the dining room at the front of the hotel overlooking the gardens, the only downside being traffic noise from the road. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were friendly and...

The restaurant and food were just perfect , and the staff are so friendly and helpful . Plus you get the picture postcard village of...

Given this is our fifth visit I guess there is something about this place we like! The hotel has character and has a quaint, easy going feel of its own as indeed does the sleepy village of Bosham in which it's situated. This is a place to go for a peaceful week-end and lovely walks around the village situated at...

Just returned from an excellent 2 night stay at The Millstream. Origionally booked a four poster room for my husband's birthday, however when the hotel contacted me a couple of weeks before to confirm timings for the restaurant it transpired they no longer offered this room type and had overlooked to tell me when i booked and prepaid. Nevertheless they...

The restaurant was pretty good, and reasonable value for money. The breakfasts were also excellent. The room we stayed in could have done with some updating - a skirting board made from carpet in the bathroom is both impractical stylistically dubious :) Definitely a venue for much older couples - we are both in our sixties, and we were by...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Millstream nestles in the heart of Old Bosham, an historic village on the shores of Chichester Harbour, combining the elegance of a small English country house with the character and charm of an eighteenth century malthouse cottage. The Bar offers a cosy fireside setting in which to relax. On warm days a door opens onto the lawns where you can sit beneath a sunshade and listen to the chatter of the ducks. The charming sitting room, with its deep cushioned armchairs, grand piano, bowls of freshly cut flowers and tranquil atmosphere, is the ideal place to meet up with friends over a afternoon tea or an aperitif, to play a quiet game of cards or just settle down and while away the hours with a good novel. The 2 AA Rosette Restaurant, overlooking the pretty gardens, offers a varied selection of modern British dishes, prepared with the best available fresh, seasonal, local produce, which are complemented by a list of fine wines from an established cellar. Each enchanting bedroom has been attractively styled to enhance its individual character and outlook. All have en-suite facilities, flat screen television, wi-fi internet access, radio/CD alarm clock, tea & coffee making facilities, mini-fridge with complimentary mineral water & fresh milk, direct dial telephone, wall safe, trouser press and hairdryer. The Gardens that surround the hotel are carefully tended and provide a wonderful place to relax in the warmer weather. Overlooking the stream in the side garden is an oak Gazebo which was built for a Wild family wedding and which now provides shelter from the rain or sun. In the summer months there are tables and chairs at which you can enjoy morning coffee, a light lunch, afternoon tea, a cocktail before dinner or an al fresco meal as the sun comes down. ... more   less
