We have visited driftwood resort in july'22 month. It was very beautiful resort which is situated in nature. Far from city rush. If you love nature and calm. You will love it . Many tourist places are nearby and main leh is just 15 mints drive. Food of resort was excellent and we had not found any delicious food. If you are from north India. You will definitely enjoy it. Rooms are so spacious and hospitality is great.

The hotel is an associate with Club Mahindra through which we made booking for 3 nights. The place is in Shey which is 15-20 min away from Leh. The resort can arrange one way to Leh for approx 700-800₹. The rooms are spacious and big enough. Rooms are designed with winter in mind so beds have heating and rooms too. However we were in hot season and so rooms were getting pretty heated up. In night you could not open windows for cool air due to insects and mosquitoes. There was no hair dryer. The wash basin is in the room separate from the bathroom. A fan is provided in the room. The food is good. We preferred a la carte and the chef was kind enough to fulfill our dietary restrictions properly and with taste. The worst issue is the Wi-Fi as connection is sim based and slow and unreliable

We had chosen the hotel based on reviews and it was indeed a good choice. Travelled on July first week with friends and family. Every room was clean and bed was comfortable. Bathrooms are clean. On our first day, it was a little warm during the day so the owner got us standing fans in each rooms. The staff and owner were very helpful and went above and beyond to support us. The hotel has a beautiful garden where we had bonfire and BBQ was served. They have a dining hall on the ground floor. Special mention to hotel staff Surya and Suraj, they were very kind, ensured we got hot food and we would chat a lot over breakfast and dinner. The food was good with lot of variety. Room service is good, we would order snacks, tea, coffee in evenings. Wifi was little slow, but the hospitality was excellent. This hotel is very much recommended. We all loved the Ginger Lemon Honey Tea and ended up drinking that after every meal. It was a 7 day trip so we checked out after the 4th day and went to Nubra and came back on the last day of our trip. They kept our luggage on days when we were not in the hotel and were very happy to support us.

I would have given negative rating. But unfortunately the option is not there. Bad place with poor ambience totally unmaintained and they have there reasons for that too. It’s not even a 2 star property. I would never recommend anyone to stay there if even you get it for free. Worst experience.

The bathroom are very dirty. The toilet seat was broken and not repaired even after complaining. The breakfast is just basic. The property is very small. Hot water only comes for two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening.

First thing, the hotel premises is nice and maintained very well. The rooms are massive and can really sleep more than 4, but had to book 2 rooms for 4 people. The problem with the hotel is, it is really far from Leh Main Market which is very good to spend an evening. It takes 30 min by vehicle and also really do not find readily available options to drive that distance. So it is near Shey and there are a couple of sight seeing places nearby, The Shey Palace, The Rancho School, Thiksey Monastery etc. But found the hotel to be really secluded and nothing to do in the evenings. The rooms while big, are showing its age and at several places, the wooden flooring is chipping off. The bathrooms are really basic and king of old fashioned. Just stayed here for the last night of the trip, with a early morning flight. So was kind of OK to take ample rest as Leh really takes a toll on your body. But would really recommend to chose hotels with walkable distance to Leh Main Market. The evening are really good.

Some times you feel that something could be so much better than how it is...this hotel is one of them. The hotel has such a wonderful potential but it is not properly looked into. Nevertheless our stay was very comfortable. Specially the staff, manager, restaurant workers they were extremely careful and helpful. Little far from main town the hotel should have regular shuttle service to city. The hot water running is in morning and evening at 7-10 which is useful enough. Should I recommend it, well you weigh your options but one thing is sure you won't regret staying here.

Overall it was a Wow experience; thank you, Driftwood resort. This was a family holiday trip, including kids, and I was very particular about the hygiene, food quality and comfort. I came across Driftwood hotel through google, it is a 4* property and I contacted Hotel Manager Puneesh Gholati. He is a fantastic guy having lots of tourism and customer management knowledge. You will think no further in booking the property post the conversation. Puneesh helped me get a good deal and the itinerary for the entire trip and a dedicated cab for the whole of the trip. The property Rooms are spacious, with a heated bed and walls with a beautiful view from the rooms. This property is at Shey, 20 min drive from the Leh airport, and it is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, tourist attractions, lake/stream. 24/7 open restaurant and food quality, the taste is fantastic; most of the ingredients are fresh, and the staff is very courteous and never say no to any requests and customized menu. At the end of the trip, we felt like time went very fast and we enjoyed every moment. Being at a high altitude and visiting tourist places requires proper planning, a suitable vehicle, and most importantly, an excellent driver who can also be a Guide. All these extra added services you may not get at other properties, or they may charge additional consulting charges. If you are planning a family trip, I would recommend this property and reach out to Puneesh at +91 9999983140, and he will help you plan the entire itinerary. Driftwood property is lucky to have Puneesh as their loyal associate/employee and I recommend this property to any family or solo or honeymoon makers or corporate events for a rememberable trip. Thank you, Puneesh & driftwood, for the memorable vacation.

We stayed here for two nights. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have enough staff manning the property. There was one waiter in the restaurant, one staff member to do baggage handling, housekeeping and servicing of the rooms. The bathrooms are badly designed. The suction pump was not working and we were not able to use the bathrooms for the entire morning. The hotel has tried to put retro switches and phones but unfortunately neither are these marked properly nor do all work. The food was very average. It would be better to stay elsewhere in Leh.
