Visited on our World Journeys " Grand Tour of South America trip " flew via a short flight over the Andes and we were in the jungle of Amazonia. Next we transfered by river to the beautiful Sacha Lodge set in primary rainforest. And what a unique and amazing place it turned out to be. Highlights were the nature walks,...

I didn't want to go. All I cared about was our Machu Picchu Trek but the Best Friend found this place and just HAD to go. So we went. And it was fabulous! My expectations were blown away. It was pricey but totally worth it. Getting to the resort was half the fun. Staff meet you at the airport in...

If you've read The River of Doubt by Candice Millard (and it's a wonderful read if you're thinking of visiting Sacha Lodge), you know that Teddy Roosevelt very nearly died traveling through Amazonia. But you'll have no such worries at Sacha. The Lodge is a bit remote, requiring a fast launch on the Napo River, a mile or so trek...

Overall, my friend and I had a terrific time at Sacha Lodge. I appreciate how difficult it is to run what is essentially a hotel, restaurant, bar, tourism business, and eco-community development in the middle of the jungle. Every single person I interacted with was kind and somewhat informative. Highlights include the canopy tower walk, night walk, bird watching, great...

My girlfriend and I and another couple stayed 3 nights at Sacha. The accommodation was fantastic, location unbelievable and the staff super friendly. It was definitely worth splashing out for the luxury experience because the things you get to do at Sacha you really will remember for a lifetime.

We came to Sacha Lodge inspired by the Royal Tour YouTube video the President of Ecuador did - if you're travelling to Ecuador we highly advise watching it for inspiration. The Lodge truly lives up to expectations and more. It's a massive plot in the middle of the Ecuadorian Amazon with their own canopy walk, luxury lodges, butterfly farm and...

As many other reviews have commented, getting to this lodge is a big part of experience. Representatives from the lodge meet you at Quito and Coca airports and help with checking in and luggage. The 2h boat ride is relaxing if the weather is good, or if raining, you can't wait for it to be over (which was the case...

We stayed at Sacha for 4 nights as part of a Neblina Forest birding tour, and it was an excellent part of our experience. Oscar was our birding guide, with Wilson, and they were outstanding--we saw a terrific number of birds, utilizing the wooden viewing tower, as well as the metal towers & bridges (not a good thing if you...

Thank you Sacha for a wonderful vacation! Pablo and Walter were amazing guides and accommodated all of our requests. My husband was dying to eat a palm grub and he had the opportunity to (and did) twice. Every single person who worked there was extremely friendly and eager to help/serve us. We loved going to the bar every night before...
