We are a couple in our mid-20s who stayed at Cotacocha for two nights in March and had an excellent time. Our cabana was right on the river, very spacious and exceptionally clean. The food was diverse and delicious, and the drinks were very reasonably priced. The excursions were great and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly (although...

We stayed at Cotococha for two nights. We did not realize how far it is from Tena (a $10 taxi ride each way) and there is nothing else in the area other than the hotel. We had not planned to to any of the activities (all were the same as we had done either in Banos or further in the...

We recently stayed at Cotococha Lodge for 2 nights. We had a really nice and relaxing time as there is no electricity in the thatch roof bungalows and no wifi. There is electricity up at the main area/restaurant where you can charge your devices. The thatch bungalows are charming, and you are provided with 2 Kerosene lamps each night for...

We just spent a week at the Cotacocha Lodge, situated in a picturesque stretch of rain forest along the banks of the Napo River. It is surprisingly close to the bustling town of Tena, but far enough away to take visitors into another world. The 22 rooms are large versions of traditionally built thatch houses. They are two stories each,...

During a trip of three weeks through Ecuador I stayed here for two nights. It was a great experience! The cabins were spacious, in the middle of the jungle and without electricity so we received an oil lamp. The food was delicious! All fresh, beautiful presentation and only local ingredients. Also the excursions we could do were well organized. We...

I stayed 3 nights with my daughters age 23 and 12. The cabins are thatched roofed and without electricity, so it felt like a real adventure. The cabin was on the Napo river;very comfortable and peaceful. The hotel provides you with plenty of safe drinking water so we had no worries about getting sick. The staff was very ,very friendly...

Nice place in the located middle of the jungle with the Napo river crossing just a few feet away. We took the tubing excursion in the river , we have to negotiate the cost since is kind of expensive, anyway was a fun activity, eating in the place is not recommended. Was found several good restaurants 15 minutes away in...

Dear Margarida: Thanks for writing us, it is true that we are not in the deep jungle, actually we decided to keep our concept of Ecological Lodge and give our passengers the feeling of being at the entrance to the jungle without electricity to be disconnected from the city. However we will consider your recommendations and we apreciate your comments....
