Incredible, ancient place, kind staff, unforgettable view from the room (we stayed in th room for 3 pers). San Minito is a lovely town, exactly in the middle of Tuscany! The hotel is located inside very old building / caslte, with an inspired history. Each floor is decorated with an art works. The restaurant with a panoramic view will let...

This mountainside hotel, formerly a medieval imperial palace, is at the highest point of a sweet lil' village called Miniato. That means that you can count on spectacular views looking over houses, vineyards , and olive trees. My room, 103, seems to have previously been some sort of small chapel room. My bed was more on the solid side, and...

Between Pisa and Florence - Truffle capital - Stayed and Miravalla Palace Hotel - A little tired but the location is perfect. The hotel is situated within the old city walls and our room looked out to the city outside the walls. The management went over and above and got up early to make us a breakfast before we left.(...

We stayed with a group of friends for the Truffle Festival and the location of this hotel was perfect for this. The hotel is beautiful but sadly lacking in the finer details which would have made our stay more enjoyable. Our room was large with stunning views but slightly shabby but clean. This would not have mattered if there had been more...

We stayed 3 nights for the Truffle Festival, the location is fabulous and the building is beautiful. Some of the rooms are lovely but ours was a bit tired and shabby. The service at reception is very poor, the manageress wasn't really interested in sorting out any of our problems. When we checked in they never told us that our...

Bedroom well maintened. Clean inside the bedroom. Not noisy. A smell of sewer in the corridors. Unbelievable. The whole day. An horror. Very disturbing. Reception often empty. You have to wait for your key. Beautiful view from our bedroom on the tuscanian country. The most beautiful spot one San miniato for an hotel. No doubt. The worst smell ever.

Maybe we were more or less the only guests, but this was a bit strange experience. The view from our room (facing Miniato) is spectacular, and the heretidge of the hotel goes back centuries. We felt almost like we were staying in a museum or closed castle as we only met the receptionists on our stay. The restaurant was closed,...

We stayed here for 1 night, while walking the Via Francigena, attracted by the views and the building. Our room was massive and beautiful, in a very OTT style. It looked out onto the seminary, which was lovely, although the view from the bathroom was truly stunning, out over the countryside - we slightly wished we'd had a smaller room...

Don't go to this place. Rude personal. This place is a tourist trap. We were attracted to the nice view of this hotel, and we would like to get a drink there. First they were saying you cant get a drink here becouse its a restaurant. We answered: OK , then we go to another place. Then they said its...

We stayed one night when starting our Via Francigena walk to Rome. The room was a good size and had a great view. Bed was comfortable though short. Breakfast was average and the service was fine, but the castle has floors where you hear everyone above you moving around. We had some very noisy upstairs neighbours who came in late...
