Saint-Pierre is not a city with five-star hotels. It is a small French provincial town with unadorned but far from basic accommodation. The Hotel Robert does this very well. You do not get marble walls and glittering chandeliers; but all that you could need is there and everything works, thanks largely to its pleasant and helpful people.

This hotel is very old and very bare bones. Our room was on the third floor facing the street. We had to have the window open all night as it was too hot to close. This is where people chose to come out and do all there smoking. Could smell cigarette smoke all night long. Gross. The bed was so...

Our room at the hotel was very nice and spacious. It looked like the room had been remodeled recently. The front desk staff were very helpful and even made dinner and lunch reservations for us. We had breakfast in the attached restaurant (but not included in the price of the hotel) which was delicious. My only quibble is that the...

We were very comfortable in our room with a view of the harbour. Clean windows would have been nice though! It was quiet and in a very handy location. We would stay there again. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful.

The remaining had a musty smell. Tip was left daily for the housekeeper and one day the tip was Rajendra but the bed wasn't made up ( tip left on the pillow) The restaurant ran out of eggs at breakfast and ended up with 2 cold Eggo waffles. Not too great. Never went back for breakfast. Dinner was very good...

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to St. Pierre. Our room was perfect. It had all the amenities of a 1st class hotel. It was located in the center of anything you wanted to do or see on the island.

Overall acceptable but another time I would try another hotel The rooms seemly newly redecorated but 'cold' due to synthetic flooring an no carpets. As stated previously, walls are thin so noise from other rooms intrudes.

L'Hotel Robert is very conveniently located close to the port (approx. 5 min walk). The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what is in the area. The room was clean and, considering that it is on a small island off the coast of Newfoundland, well appointed. The wifi was good. The restaurant attached to the hotel was good. The dinner...
