Ayushkamy is a wonderful place :) Vinod sir, Mallika, the incredible cooking and cleaning team and the lovely dog trio of Indra, Rudra, and Bhadra make it an experience to remember. The cottages/huts are simple, clean and functional. They have a lovely porch with cane chairs which are wonderful to recline on as you take in the lovely views of the backwaters. The morning yoga classes are both calming and energizing! Vinod-sir takes the effort to push each participant slightly beyond one's comfort zone. You learn something new every day. The food is nutritious and delicious. The vegetarian Kerala food, the fruit juices, the home-made muesli, the various thorans and maathans are a delight. If you have the time, would highly recommend a boat ride to the mangroves nearby. The fisherman's temple along the way and the sunset on the way back are :) Last and most importantly - Ayushkamy is one of the most tranquil places in the world. You can hear and feel the breeze, you sniff the fragrance of flowers, leaves, and grass. And when you open your eyes after yoga, you really feel at peace.

Last year we stumbled upon Ayushkamy fortuitously while travelling north to Goa and stayed for 10 days. This year we returned for 20 days. Next year we will aim for more. Outside of the magic garden of Ayushkamy we explored the charming town of Paravur and enjoyed taking the rowboat ferry across the river for walks to Mayannad village and swims in the sea in the morning after yoga. Thank you Vinod, Malika and the staff for another unforgettable experience.

This was the most comfortable place I’ve stayed in India and I’ve been travelling spine for almost 2 months. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The location is peaceful, close enough to some tourist spots but far enough that you get to experience local life. I highly recommend you stay. You’ll keep coming back! I know o will 🥰

The kind of place you never want to leave and one of the best places I have been. And I don’t even really like yoga. (Or so I thought) This place shows that it’s not only about having a beautiful location. It’s also about personal contact and a welcoming vibe. The owner of this place (and his crew) are incredibly nice and helped us with everything we wanted and more. Even picked us up sometimes so we would be safe in the night. Also having not really booked for any of the extra’s we were hesitant at first, but thankful afterwords to have tried almost all of them. The Ayurvedic food, massages and the yoga turned out to be an absolute unmissable experience. Definitely coming back here and doing the full retreat when I get the chance. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Escape to Ayushkamy, a hidden gem nestled between the serene backwaters and the tranquil sea. From the moment you arrive, you'll be struck by the peaceful setting and greeted by a friendly and attentive staff, including a four-legged bellboy! The rooms are well-appointed and offer comfortable beds and spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. But that's not all, Ayushkamy is also committed to sustainability, with numerous eco-friendly initiatives in place. The opportunity to explore the backwaters and the sea, both easily accessible from the hotel, was one of the highlights of my stay. The hotel also offers a range of activities to make the most of your time there. I highly recommend Ayushkamy for anyone looking for a secluded and peaceful getaway, with great service and a commitment to sustainability as a cherry on top.

Working remotely from the terrace of a bungalow facing the Back-waters is a perfect way to get into a steady work-flow while also getting a break from everyday disturbances. Ayushkamy is a very safe and clean environment. I can recommend it in particular to female travellers, who want to get some remote work done, and who profit from ayurveda massage, the Kerala cuisine, and doing yoga in the morning. Vinod is an excellent host. He is very flexible and helpful - also with arranging onwards travelling. We meant to go from here to Varkala, but when we arrived in Varkala, we immidiately changed our plans and chose to come back. It is that kind of place.

An amazing place in the middle of nature. Surrounded by the backwaters and the sea. I spent 3 wonderful weeks in Ayushkamy with yoga and ayurvedic massage everyday. The food is delicious and the rooms are clean and cozy. Very good massages as well. Ayushkamy is the perfect place to take care of your soul and body, very peaceful. I'll go back for sure.

Ayushkamy is simply perfect. If you’re looking for somewhere that is serene and tranquil, natural and authentic, where you can stay and unplug for a little while, then I recommend Ayushkamy. For me there is nothing better than reading a book lying in a hammock under a palm tree by the water, and then being able to walk a few steps to the beach to soak up a completely different but also very therapeutic energy. Being able to do Yoga by the water, completely immersed in the beautiful natural environment is a very special experience. The yoga is definitely for everyone, regardless of experience or fitness - just try not feeling amazing after it!! The massage I had was next level, not only therapeutic but just so damn good!! The kitchen delivers delicious meals every single time, whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner. I didn’t know there were so many different types of dishes in Kerala and I was grateful to try every one. And if your soul is not already singing, an early morning boat trip is stunning and invokes a sense of calm that cannot be delivered on land. I had to wrench myself away from this beautiful gentle and safe space and while I would like to keep it for myself, I hope my review will inspire you to enjoy for yourself. The only good thing about leaving is knowing that the environmental footprint you leave behind is small - as is the little piece of your heart guaranteed to be left behind.
