This place is a little paradise on earth!
I stayed at Ayushkamy for a month, getting an ayurvedic treatment and doing Yoga. Its a very beautyful place with a garden, facing the lake. It is quiet and very peaceful, exactly what you need for an ayurvedic treatment. You have a lot of lovely flowers and animals and you can learn a lot of the flora and fauna of that region. Vinod and Mallika are great people, looking after everything I needed. They made me feel very welcome, you can feel their dedication to their work.
The rooms and the food are great as well. Clean rooms and bathrooms, fresh local food everyday and definately try the home made muesli😁
This might have not been the last time I visited this precious, hearty place.

Escape to Ayushkamy, a hidden gem nestled between the serene backwaters and the tranquil sea. From the moment you arrive, you'll be struck by the peaceful setting and greeted by a friendly and attentive staff, including a four-legged bellboy!

The rooms are well-appointed and offer comfortable beds and spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. But that's not all, Ayushkamy is also committed to sustainability, with numerous eco-friendly initiatives in place. The opportunity to explore the backwaters and the sea, both easily accessible from the hotel, was one of the highlights of my stay. The hotel also offers a range of activities to make the most of your time there.

I highly recommend Ayushkamy for anyone looking for a secluded and peaceful getaway, with great service and a commitment to sustainability as a cherry on top.

We had such a great stay in Ayushkamy and felt very warm welcomed from the beginning on. The location is unique, situated between the ocean and the backwaters, giving you so many options to explore the area by boat or by walking at the beach. The tropical garden makes you feel like staying in paradise. The food is just so delicious, prepared with so much love and varying from day to day. Yoga sessions at the waterside make you forget everything and let you focus on your inner peace. The atmosphere here is just indescribable magical and relaxed. Observing the birds, squirrels and a sometimes seen peacock in the garden makes this place epic. The host is very friendly, providing us with so many information about this area and activities and is very careful. We feel very safe at this place and it simply feels like home.

This was the most comfortable place I’ve stayed in India and I’ve been travelling spine for almost 2 months. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The location is peaceful, close enough to some tourist spots but far enough that you get to experience local life. I highly recommend you stay. You’ll keep coming back! I know o will 🥰

Ayushkamy is simply perfect.

If you’re looking for somewhere that is serene and tranquil, natural and authentic, where you can stay and unplug for a little while, then I recommend Ayushkamy.

For me there is nothing better than reading a book lying in a hammock under a palm tree by the water, and then being able to walk a few steps to the beach to soak up a completely different but also very therapeutic energy.

Being able to do Yoga by the water, completely immersed in the beautiful natural environment is a very special experience. The yoga is definitely for everyone, regardless of experience or fitness - just try not feeling amazing after it!!

The massage I had was next level, not only therapeutic but just so damn good!!

The kitchen delivers delicious meals every single time, whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner. I didn’t know there were so many different types of dishes in Kerala and I was grateful to try every one.

And if your soul is not already singing, an early morning boat trip is stunning and invokes a sense of calm that cannot be delivered on land.

I had to wrench myself away from this beautiful gentle and safe space and while I would like to keep it for myself, I hope my review will inspire you to enjoy for yourself.

The only good thing about leaving is knowing that the environmental footprint you leave behind is small - as is the little piece of your heart guaranteed to be left behind.

Ayushkamy is a wonderful place :) Vinod sir, Mallika, the incredible cooking and cleaning team and the lovely dog trio of Indra, Rudra, and Bhadra make it an experience to remember.

The cottages/huts are simple, clean and functional. They have a lovely porch with cane chairs which are wonderful to recline on as you take in the lovely views of the backwaters.

The morning yoga classes are both calming and energizing! Vinod-sir takes the effort to push each participant slightly beyond one's comfort zone. You learn something new every day.

The food is nutritious and delicious. The vegetarian Kerala food, the fruit juices, the home-made muesli, the various thorans and maathans are a delight.

If you have the time, would highly recommend a boat ride to the mangroves nearby. The fisherman's temple along the way and the sunset on the way back are :)

Last and most importantly - Ayushkamy is one of the most tranquil places in the world. You can hear and feel the breeze, you sniff the fragrance of flowers, leaves, and grass. And when you open your eyes after yoga, you really feel at peace.

Ayushkamy is really the place to be, away from the noisy n hectic city life. It's the ideal place for a peaceful retreat You have a very zen and calm environment, with the sound of the waves crashing on one side and the songs of birds in the lake on the other side.
I simply enjoyed each and every single moment spent there. It's was just 12 awesome days. The food is very healthy and typical of kerala. You have the opportunity to eat fresh vegetables and fruits from their garden itself and you can even ask the cook to teach you how to make the local food.
It felt really like I was visiting friends, the atmosphere is really welcoming and pleasant. The people there are very present and helpful whenever needed.
Hearful thanks to Vinod, Mahesh and Malika for their awesome hospitality. Hoping to see you sometime soon.

Vinod and his team made us feel like family during our 4 day visit. Great location between the sea and the backwaters. Very relaxing place to just sit, read and watch life going slowly by. Excellent healthy food and yoga sessions twice a day. They arranged a taxi to and from the airport and can help with any other trips you want to do.

With Syzgyz kayaking just 200m away it was easy to set up trips and enjoy peaceful paddles through the mangroves and the channels.

Chalets are good - we stayed in the larger type and enjoyed many cups of chai on our porch or in our rope chair/hammock looking over the lake.

This eco resort just felt like a second home. After traveling through South India I've never seen a resort on such an epic location! It's so peaceful, the bungalows with the view to the backwaters and its wildlife. Amazing! It's totally made for nature, yoga and animal lovers. The owner is just too kind and loving. My friend and I felt really save all the time. He organized us everything and we were mostly sitting together after Yoga or Dinner to chat about our life. If you want to see the region of Kollam or Varkala, this is the place to stay! It's super easy to drive with the tuk tuk everywhere but afterwards its nice to come home to this quiet place. It also was one of my best massages and what should I say about the food? I've never eaten that good in my life. Thank you for having us, it was a huge pleasure to meet you! And will never forget. ❤️

The kind of place you never want to leave and one of the best places I have been.
And I don’t even really like yoga. (Or so I thought)

This place shows that it’s not only about having a beautiful location.
It’s also about personal contact and a welcoming vibe. The owner of this place (and his crew) are incredibly nice and helped us with everything we wanted and more. Even picked us up sometimes so we would be safe in the night.

Also having not really booked for any of the extra’s we were hesitant at first, but thankful afterwords to have tried almost all of them.
The Ayurvedic food, massages and the yoga turned out to be an absolute unmissable experience.

Definitely coming back here and doing the full retreat when I get the chance.
5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
