This eco resort just felt like a second home. After traveling through South India I've never seen a resort on such an epic location! It's so peaceful, the bungalows with the view to the backwaters and its wildlife. Amazing! It's totally made for nature, yoga and animal lovers. The owner is just too kind and loving. My friend and I felt really save all the time. He organized us everything and we were mostly sitting together after Yoga or Dinner to chat about our life. If you want to see the region of Kollam or Varkala, this is the place to stay! It's super easy to drive with the tuk tuk everywhere but afterwards its nice to come home to this quiet place. It also was one of my best massages and what should I say about the food? I've never eaten that good in my life. Thank you for having us, it was a huge pleasure to meet you! And will never forget. ❤️

We had such a great stay in Ayushkamy and felt very warm welcomed from the beginning on. The location is unique, situated between the ocean and the backwaters, giving you so many options to explore the area by boat or by walking at the beach. The tropical garden makes you feel like staying in paradise. The food is just so delicious, prepared with so much love and varying from day to day. Yoga sessions at the waterside make you forget everything and let you focus on your inner peace. The atmosphere here is just indescribable magical and relaxed. Observing the birds, squirrels and a sometimes seen peacock in the garden makes this place epic. The host is very friendly, providing us with so many information about this area and activities and is very careful. We feel very safe at this place and it simply feels like home.

Ayushkamy is really the place to be, away from the noisy n hectic city life. It's the ideal place for a peaceful retreat You have a very zen and calm environment, with the sound of the waves crashing on one side and the songs of birds in the lake on the other side. I simply enjoyed each and every single moment spent there. It's was just 12 awesome days. The food is very healthy and typical of kerala. You have the opportunity to eat fresh vegetables and fruits from their garden itself and you can even ask the cook to teach you how to make the local food. It felt really like I was visiting friends, the atmosphere is really welcoming and pleasant. The people there are very present and helpful whenever needed. Hearful thanks to Vinod, Mahesh and Malika for their awesome hospitality. Hoping to see you sometime soon.

Vinod and his team made us feel like family during our 4 day visit. Great location between the sea and the backwaters. Very relaxing place to just sit, read and watch life going slowly by. Excellent healthy food and yoga sessions twice a day. They arranged a taxi to and from the airport and can help with any other trips you want to do. With Syzgyz kayaking just 200m away it was easy to set up trips and enjoy peaceful paddles through the mangroves and the channels. Chalets are good - we stayed in the larger type and enjoyed many cups of chai on our porch or in our rope chair/hammock looking over the lake.

Ayushkamy is a beautiful, small resort in a non-touristy part of Kerela. The gardens and views on to the lake are picture-perfect. The yoga each morning by Mahesh was excellent. Thank you Mahesh for looking after me during my stay! Oh and the food is healthy and delicious too.

This place is for those who just want to enjoy the day as it comes with no "musts", do some yoga, have some massage and just relaaax. The location of the huts, next to the backwaters on one side and the sea/beachfront on the other side, is just perfect. It's calm. You sit on your veranda looking at the birds and fishermen on the backwater. Time flies and suddenly it's time for yoga. Just beside the water, surrounded by the "music" of nature Vinod or Mahesh gives you 1.5 hours hatayoga in the morning and afternoon. Sometimes one, two or three of the joyful housedogs join for yoga - it's just so charming and the dog's gives the place a homely feeling. They have a lovely calm garden with trees, lawns and flowers. The food is authentic Kerala style, organic and tasty. The huts are comfortable and clean. Vinod, Manesh and the rest are very helpfull and attentive. They give you advice of activities that you can do but frankly - this is is place made for relaxation. Or kajaking in the backwaters. Just 200 meters away you find Syzygy Ecosports. Nice helpful guys with well maintained equipment (both seakayaks and sit-on-top). Best place to rent kayaks in this area (backwaters Kerala). It was a bless to find this lovely place where we could combine yoga, kayaking in nice waters (no housboats! Just fishermen, a temple/church or five, mangroves, birds, curious indians.... ) and pure relaxation.

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights, and wow, was it a pleasure. We had a harried and frenetic 2+ weeks traveling around India, and the peace and calm we found at Ayushkamy was exactly what we needed. We loved spending our days reading in the hammocks or lounge chairs, having a swim in the ocean across the street, and basically doing a lot of nothing. Probably our favorite part was swimming in the river as part of the 3-hour boat ride in the backwaters. They provided clean filtered water, and were really good about cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen. The food was pretty good (though maybe a little repetitive), and the setting for yoga was just incredible (though it was a lot of stretching - not much to break a sweat). Vinod was super responsive and informative via e-mail in advance, and was great about arranging transportation at both ends of our journey. Thank you for a wonderful end to our experience in India. Wishing you nothing but the best!

We wanted to celebrate our 5th year anniversary around Varkala, and we chose to stay at Ayushkamy during one of our trip days. We were truly amazed with the place. The best of all was it's location - right next to the backwaters as it can be seen from the photos. The beachfront is right opposite to Ayushkamy. There are lots of trees at this place + most of the construction is through natural materials and not concrete. It gives a homely feeling. The place is very clean as well. The food was authentic Kerala style. Not too spicy nor too bland. It was very tasty. There are 3 dogs at the location - Ayush, Suriya and Chandra. All of them are very friendly. Vinod & Mahesh took good care of us. They suggest things to do either at Ayushkamy itself, or at surrounding places depending on what you are looking for. There are some suggestions written and kept in every room. Do not miss 'Yoga by the backwaters' - either by Vinod / Mahesh. Not only would you know how fit you are, but you can feel the tranquility of the nature around you - the wave sounds of the backwaters, the birds chirping, rustling of leaves, etc. Sometimes, Suriya or Chandra would join you too. It was pure bliss Overall, we couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate our anniversary. Just by looking at the photos once again, we feel peace. TIP - Please visit Munroe Island for Canoe tours, that is about 30km from Ayushkamy. Vinod should be able to help you out with arrangements. It takes about 4-5 hours in total.
