The rooms were having foul smell. House keeping is pathetic. Facility is not at all maintained. Lights are not working, bathroom doors are broken, full of cobwebs, beds are shaking. The attitude of the Management was horrible. When pointed out, the reaction was surprising. No hospitality at all....they asked us to vacate the rooms and said they will reimburse the booking amount.....Imagine a person made advance booking and travelling from long distance!!!!! Only good thing was the boat ride however, no safety for the passengers ensured. Even in the pool, where pedal boats are kept for the children. Food is standard. Stay was horrible and a nightmare. Similar opinion received from past visitors too but was unlucky as I received it after my visit only.... Never again......
We had a visit to this resort with friends last day, haven't experienced such a worst serice ever, from the time we booked the holiday ,it went out to be a mess. The manager that we were contacting was such rude and arrogant person, and he was in an attitude that the stay was gi1ven as a favour or complimentary by him. After paying for a holiday if you would wish to be a beggar they, prefer this resort. The policies were so strange, such that none other decent hotels will be following. Prior reaching the resort we just contacted him, and he demanded us to reach the resort before 8pm, otherwise he wont give the stay, and once we arrived the resort the same person was standing there and started arguing and justifying his points, just think of that scenario, when you go somewhere after paying in advance and the moment when you arrives there he won't even allow you to do the checking and starts questioning us. Such a worst experience 😪😞 Please don't prefer this hotel if you are expecting a decent stay and this is not at all a safe and decent place for families. The receptionist boy was way better and helpful than the manager. Never visit this place as it seems to be cheaper, spend a bit more and have great memorable holidays.…
MR Sethu, who is the coordinator was very rude and acted like a Local Gunda.... he is not fit for any hospitality, for family stay or for group get together, this property hospitality is not going to give you satisfaction. Dnt go to the resort since it is cheap.... better go for your beautiful memories. not to be for slave in the owners den. Room was good but, you could see lizards to cockeroges in around who sleeps with you... The guy in the restaurant and also who took us for check in was very good... sethu actually has to learn from him a lot...
Location wise and stay wise its good ... To relax from your busy schedule and to enjoy the scenaries in village style this place is good .. one main thing we have to say is as there are no local restaurants the guest will be forced to take from their own restaurant , but for some dishes rates are too high . This can be avoided
Our stay at monroe island lake resort was disappointing, though not for the resort itself but for the poor management and lack of personal care that we received during our stay. The resort is a bit dated but otherwise is fairly scenic and located in a quite part of the island, far enough from the island tannoy system that the music played throughout the day is only faintly audible. Our room was clean and the air conditioning worked well. The drains smelt so foul that we had to keep them covered with a bucket for the duration of our stay to try and stop the smell but even this still left the room smelling of sewage. We ate breakfast and dinner in the resort restaurant and though the food tasted okay, it was very expensive and often too oily, salty and served cold. Somehow they managed to get our very simple drinks order wrong several days in a row. The restaurant itself was a bit run down, with the sounds of rats crawling through the ceiling above us and very little atmosphere thanks to all the chairs remaining sat on top of the uncleared tables as if the place were closed whilst we ate, as nobody saw a need to remove them - we even had to take the chairs down ourselves when we came to eat at the time we were told to. Though all meals were supposed to be agreed upon in advance as the kitchen was small which is completely understandable, we found we were left waiting up to an hour for our food some evenings. Somehow we were left with cold food despite the waiting, as if many of the dishes were cooked as soon as we ordered them and left to out until we ate. Even in the mornings we were left waiting for our breakfast. This disorganisation seemed to spread throughout the whole of the resort. After a large party of people who weren’t even staying at the resort made such a mess outside the front of our room and spoilt our peaceful time relaxing outside our room by crowding around us. The 3 hour boat trip that we took was only 2 and a half hours, including a 20 minute stop that we did not want but the boatman decided we would do anyway and a stop for him to go to the toilet. On top of this there was also the constant, creepy staring from all the all-male staff at my wife whilst they seemed to be sitting about doing nothing all day apart from arguing loudly in front of us, pushing past us and drinking spirits by the bottle outside our room in the evening. We would not stay again at this resort and would not recommend it unless we knew that it was under new management, the current staff need to learn what it means to be part of the hospitality trade as they seemed to do nothing at all to make our stay welcoming and comfortable.…
