Wentp for lunch with family ordered a medium rare steak turned up more than well done, 2nd steak took ages and was a lump of gristle served with raw mushrooms. They must employ a clown instead of a chef. Others meals on our table were acceptable.

Spacious room, but very little furniture - there was a skip in the car park, is this place being refurbished? Room smelt fresh on arrival, but a strong smell of damp took over. Friendly, efficient service and tasty breakfast.

Stayed overnight, and was happy with the room. Clean room, firm bed, good but small shower. It was fine. What really shone were the staff. From the young lady who checked us in to the bearded gent who facilitated breakfast the next day, I think the staff were what really shone. The food was decent, and plentiful, the beer just...

I stayed here for one night for a friend's wedding in the area. We arrived early but were unable to get into our rooms or leave our bags, as check-in was from 2pm. This was understandable but the staff weren't terribly sympathetic about this! Saying that, our stay once checked in was very pleasant - nice clean rooms, comfy beds...

A training course locally meant I needed somewhere to stay for one night. I chose The White Hart because of it's close proximity to the training venue. At check in I was well received by the member of staff who dealt with the formalities in a friendly and efficient manner. The rooms are situated in a separate building through the...

We came for a Ruby Wedding celebration of some university friends, which was held at the nearby Oakfield Golf Club. It was ideal for the purpose, only 5 minutes' walk away. Our room was in a newish pavilion style block at the back of the site, quite attractively designed and very quiet, well away from the road. The room was...
