Great place -- extremely well organized and planned -- they take care of the visitors so well -- excellent food even for vegetarians -- very friendly and service oriented. I would strongly recommend. We stayed with my kids and we enjoyed every bit.

Juma Lodge makes you feel that you are really living in a jungle. It is rustic in many ways. The plus points are that the service is good and the guided tours are excellent. We caught 4 piranhas which the staff cooked for us even gave us the teeth as a souvenir. The minus points are that it was very...

You are in the jungle so can't expect too much. It is more about the jungle experience than anything else. Our guide, Leon, was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was very good, although the variety of choice over 3 days was limited. The local fruit was wonderful. The activities were enjoyable. Not overly stretching. Quite basic but again...

We can only give this lodge a bad review due to our disgust at the guide allocated to us. We raised a complaint on our return, and received a unsatisfactory reply. Our "guide" NILSON is of the opinion that the English are arrogant due to the fact he believed mistakenly that all of them only speak one language and expressed...

Dear Guest I am really sorry about the conduct of Nilson. We spoke with him about it to ensure that this will not happen again. I agree with you, a good guide is indispensable and we are always working to make them excellent guides. Sincerely, Caio Fonseca

In the heart of the Amazon is this oasis. The food is great, and where you are situated offers a very unique once in a life time experience. From night time caiman watching in canoes to fishing for piranhas and nature walks. The hotel also adopts monkeys which are very friendly, there are also alligators that get fed the scraps...

after spending two nights here, we regretted having already spent two nights on a boat cruise (clipper cruises) and not more at juma, as this was a much more authentic experience. - GET RALF AS YOUR TOUR GUIDE, if you can. he's the only one who was born and raised in the amazon, one of only 3 amazonians in the...

The service is good, the people are nice and there is a good organization in place. Expect a confortable places but no luxuries (i.e. No internet). Food is reasonably good, and they make it feel like a home. Parabens! 3 nights is what we spent and felt that it was enough, on the other hand.

I looked far and wide for the right lodging for our stay in the Amazon. I didn't want a commercial hotel, I really wanted to experience the wonders of the Amazon without a crowd, while still having the basics like hot water and a roof over my head. Juma fit the bill and beyond. Your adventure starts as soon as...

The place is exactly what is says it is. No over promising but the difference are the guides. We had Leon who was probably one of the most professional guides I have had in Brazil. Calm and knowledgable he was able to juggle a diverse group with diverse interests. It is tough when some people want to fish piranhas and...

Together with my eleven fishing friends, i spent one week at the lodge. They did a great job at creating an environmental friendly lodge in the middle of the Amazon. Electricity is solar power generated, all the water is treated before releasing it, everything get recycled. The rooms are quite large and comfortable. A fan on the ceiling keeps you...
