We stayed at the Glen Afric for three nights. This enabled us to spend time at the lodge, do the lodge activities and explore Magliesburg. The activities: The staff and and handlers put their heart and soul into caring for these animals, who would otherwise have met some awful fate. We booked the walking with the elephant activity and the...

A beautiful place, a swimming pool and terrace to relax.....scenery is breath taking. The game drive was amazing especially when up close and walking with the elephants... Seeing other animals also in the bush. A visit to Leopards Den the set off Wild at Heart. How ever the food served was a disappointment....steaks not served as requested and food only...

I meant to write this ages ago as we stayed last October 2016. Maybe this late review proves just how wonderful our visit was as it is still a great memory! We were staying in Jo'burg on business and had a couple of days free. What a joy to discover Glen Afric! (We were so cross that we'd only just...

I absolutely and completely loved my visit to Glen Afric. From the moment of my first conversation with the receptionist, everything was wonderful. Everyone there is professional, extremely polite and very friendly. I went on a game drive tour and a 40 minute walk with the elephants, which I absolutely loved. Sam, was so knowledgable about all the animals, was...

Being a fan of the TV series, my wife had been to Glen Afric 6 years ago when visiting her mother in Pretoria.... a drive of only 35 minutes... She lost all her photos of feeding the elephants after Sunday lunch so a revisit was on due on her return... We booked a picnic on arrival to include an overnight...

We arrived here almost immediately after a 15 hr flight from the US, and Carina gave us a warm welcome! Glen Africa is the perfect intro to Africa because it exposes you to large animals very easily, and with two yooung kids, provides safe animal interactions witlions, hippos, elephants, etc. Food was surpisingy good, albeit slow to arrive. We did the...

Had the great pleasure to visit Glen Afric in October with my son. It was a very interesting adventure seeing all the animals and our guide ( sorry can't remember her name) was excellent. The elephants were brilliant, getting up so close was something I'll never forget. A very well organised trip. Collected at hotel and brought back. What more...

Lying in a more remote location it took us a little while to find the Glen Afric Country Lodge. However, once there we found a very nice restaurant on a quiet Monday evening. The main reason for choosing Glen Afric was the expectation that we might have a choice of more 'African' food. As it turned out this was not...
