We stayed at the Wessex for a dancing weekend. The ballroom was splendid and the organisation of the event was superb, but the hotel seriously let the event down. Both corridors of rooms (first and second floors) were being redecorated at the same time by two (apparently) part time decorators. If they had worked through a section at a time...

The view opposite may not be appealing, but the staff are extremely friendly, and helpful. The breakfast is delicious, our only downside is...

late booking for a one night stay, very good position for Clarks Village. Hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, lots of areas with just plastered walls. Bedroom was lovely, very comfortable, clean and well furnished.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Look forward to seeing the hotel again when the refurbishment is completed.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The first impression was the reception, adequate and well informed then in the lift to 2nd floor bare plaster on the walls, no wall paper, lights dangling from the ceiling not very good. Thankfully the room was clean and the shower over the bath was good, complimentary tea and coffee making facility consisted...
