Went on retreat with friends. The place keeps one grounded. A spiritual journey praying with the monks 7 times a day beginning 2 am. The monastery has a dorm where retreatants can stay. It also produces mango products and casoy sourced locally that tourists can bring back home.

My first ever solo travel destination is Guimaras, and this is also my first stop upon stepping into the island. This place is very peaceful, full of solemnity. Their food is also great, choose between variety of snacks, accessories and shirt. I'll definitely come back to this place!

This is the first stop when in Guimaras Island, a beautiful and quiet place to relax and reflect, before going on with other Guimaras Island activities. This is where we had our merienda arranged by our tour guide. Lots of greens and woods in the area, makes it a cool place.

When in Guimaras, this should be the first stop. A beautiful and quiet place. Be prepared to stack up on the food products that are uniquely Trappist made in the souvenir shop. Try to see if you can find a Trappist monk or nun although this would be most difficult around 11am, their prayer hour. The monk would gladly say...

When you're in Guimaras Island, visiting this nice & peaceful place is a must. If you have limited time to visit the whole place, it is advised to come to the Monastery first, here, you can check their handmade crafts and delicacies. After, you can visit the chapel and the Monk which is present, will always be available to entertain...
