While traveling from the mainland to Ithaca, we got "stuck" on Cephalonia island. What a wonderful treat to discover this gem of a place and be able to enjoy a wonderful dinner and interesting conversations with Katerina ! Our room was a delight, with plenty of books, beautiful music a comfortable bed ... we almost did not want to leave....

Dear Dominic and Caroline, hallo! Somehow your review popped up as I was enjoying a nice cup of tea in the Selfridges coffe shop in London. I have to assure you that if I had a bit more time to myself the only trip that I have been keen on having would be a trip to meet again with you...

How lucky we were to discover this unique haven in the heights of Cephalonia island when we missed our boat connection between Astakos and Ithaca. What a wonderful delight it was to meet with Katerina, a welcoming host, intellect, historian, passionate, great cook and above all a woman we will never forget ! We are looking forward to coming back...

I caught myself saying "Good Morning" to your lovely photograph, nicely positioned on my bar top, as we enter. I only have to say that I miss you. The world is too big to measure and capture in a day, so I feel that our duty to cover every corner and every spot of beauty has not been complete. We...

This holiday combined a special birthday celebration and a wedding anniversary together with a desire to get away from it all and find a place to relax and prepare for the winter months - we could not have made a better choice. This hotel is so special and a real treasure in this modern world. Many, many thanks Katerina for...

We had a wonderful holiday. The rooms are really fantastic and with lots of lovely furniture and accessory. But the best of all is, that you feel like visiting friends. We really enjoyed listening to Katerina's stories of her life and to Barry playing the piano. They both made our vacation unforgettable. Greetings to you both from switzerland.

No matter how many times you have already been (or not) to Kefalonia, this is a hotel that you MUST visit. The owner Mrs Katerina, represents the true Greek spirit of hospitality, takes care of you as if you were her family, cooks the best Greek traditional dishes with a twist and makes you feel that you never ever want...

Katherine the owner is a very warm person, her cooking is wonderful, she only uses local products. The village is beautiful, the hotel itself very personal, staying there is like being host by a local good friend.

So what we bring back from our travels ? Good memories, nice pictures, great feelings ... We don't bring back what we watched on tv that holiday, nor our waitings for checking in or out,of unpersonalized chain hotels without a soul, right ?? This is not just a hotel. It is like coming home. The owner makes you feel very welcome. She would do anything to make you as comfortable as possible. Her stories about the hotel are almost heroic. She makes running a hotel to an Art. It feels so peaceful and the decoration is absolutely wonderful! Many vintage wonders, but with...
