Me and my daughter stayed at the gun lodge ..Nice rooms a bit dated but clean, food was lovely, friendly staff.it has a connection to fort George which is just down the road..the fort is still active and has great views.it has disabled buggies to use if you need one as there is a lot of walking..it is free but please have cash to give a donation,it well worth it as they dont have a tap bank card machine for donations .there is cafe and toilets..all well recommended..

We enjoyed our overnight stay at The Gun Lodge. Quiet, clean and accommodating. Our room was spacious. We slept with the windows open and we not disturbed by outside noises. Breakfast was excellent and the staff pleasant.

We stayed at the Gun Lodge Hotel the night before flying out of Inverness. What a great find! Completely convenient to the airport, charming, a little quirky even. Our rooms were a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. The young man at the front desk was also tending bar and taking dinner reservations so he was stretched a bit thin, but he was still very welcoming and showed us to our rooms. Dinner was delicious and breakfast (included) was good as well. We got a good night's sleep and didn't have to deal with any Inverness traffic on the way to the airport the next day. I would definitely return if I needed a place to stay in the area for a night.

My family enjoyed a delightful dinner this evening in the Gun Lodge dining room. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and the food arrived promptly and piping hot from the kitchen. The hotel is steeped in local history and has a welcoming atmosphere.

Spent a wonderful weekend with a group of friends in the Highlands using The Gun Lodge Hotel as our base. Lovely, charming hotel where we received the warmest of welcomes. Sheena, Scott and their team demonstrated the best of Scottish hospitality and went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. Brilliant Scottish breakfasts. Nothing was too much trouble. Hope we can go back sometime. Thanks Sheena xxx

A very warm welcome from the staff. Exceptional value and close to the airport. It was good for the one night I stayed there before a drive to Thurso. I would recommend it as a good value one night stop. There is a pub attached which does food which was handy.

Arrived at the hotel and had a big friendly highland welcome from Sheena and staff. Our rooms were spacious and clean. We then headed down to a well stocked bar for a few drinks. I slept like a log….not sure about my friend who was getting married the next day lol Breakfast was delicious, fresh and cooked to order. I’d like to thank Sheena for going over and above to make our stay a happy one. There’s a bunch of flowers on the way as a thank you.

We arrived later than expected the board outside had food serving times displayed we were to late to eat. Greeted by the owner Sheena With a welcomed question which was music to ours ears. Would you like food guys. The kitchen team stayed on. What followed was two lovely meals prepared to a high standard. The start of a great stay friendly well controlled bar with Covid restrictions in place. Good selection of whiskey available and real ale both reasonably priced. Spotless rooms and hearty breakfast with a good selection of pastries cereals followed by a full Scottish fried. All in all an awesome stay Thank you

We had a private party in the restaurant for a 70th Wedding Anniversary. A great Afternoon Tea was enjoyed by everyone. Wonderful food, great service, both on the day and in the help in planning. Would highly recommend for your events, especially Afternoon Tea. Thank you to all at The Gun Lodge for making a special day even more special.

Ordered 3 takeaways and a side order of garlic bread, none of the food was edible. It was all thrown in the bin, I should of returned it all for a refund but we were hungry and decided to make something instead. The bread was burnt as was the box it came in. The chips were soft and the batter on the fish was unlike any batter we'd ever seen, the texture and taste was awfull. This was all produced apparently by a chef???? Looking at some other reviews I wonder how they could of produced food so bad and expect customers to pay for it.
