Detailed Reviews
We used the Hotel as a base to explore Inverness as part of our staycation and loved it.
This was our first hotel stay since Covid-19 and the Hotel was immaculate. You could see that the Team were taking all necessary precautions to keep everyone safe. Despite the difficulties of face masks, etc, you still received a warm welcome and they really couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Testament to the Manager as all the staff were amazing!
The rooms were spotlessly clean, as well as being spacious & modern, and we also loved being able to cast our Ipads directly on to the TVs.
We ate out in Nairn and also on the Black Isle, but we also ate in the Hotel's restaurant twice too. The food was good and well priced and I must recommend the Chefs homemade soup - it was exceptional!
This hotel is a secret gem that is only a few minutes drive from the hustle of the city centre ,or peacefulness of some the most spectacular scenery that Scotland has to offer.
We loved every minute of our stay and will certainly return again soon!

I recently stayed at the Courtyard Inverness Airport for a one night stay. I had been keen to try out the hotel since seeing seeing it open earlier in the year. Having not travelled from the airport this year I decided just to stay at the hotel. It was during Tier1 so onvernight stays were permitted at that time.
The hotel is bright and airy with a pleasant lounge, bar, restaurant area on the ground floor. There was dinner available (required prebooking) and breakfast too. The space is also suitable for working in with a couple of nice tables that could double as desks.
The welcome was very warm and it felt very safe as the hotel was exceptionally clean. There was hand sanitiser at various points around the hotel and the room was spotless.
The room had a great view of the runway and it was great to see a flight land and one take off. There were tea and coffee facilities, a work desk, a small table and stool and a large TV.
The bathroom had a walk in shower which was nice to use.
The breakfast was a buffet but everything, including slices of bread for the toaster, was individually wrapped.
It was a very pleasant stay and I look forward to returning to this hotel again, definitely a great option if you are travelling on an early flight. It is less than 5 minutes flat and level walk from the front door of the hotel to the airport terminal building.

Dear the proftraveller Many thanks for taking the time to post a review following your recent stay with us at the Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport. We were delighted to hear that you found the welcome very warm, the hotel exceptionally clean and you enjoyed the airport runway view. 50% of our rooms overlook the airport for those you like to plane watch and 50% overlook the fields behind us so we believe there is a room view perfect for everyone! We do hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the hotel in the not too distant future. Kind regards Team Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport

Stayed here for three nights on 27/08/20, we booked an accessible room, welcome on arrival was excellent, entered only what can described as a wow room, the view of the runway at Inverness airport was a photographers dream. If you do not want eat in the restaurant there is the Market Place offering wraps, snacks, ice cream and a variance of sweets ext the cost of which was reasonable. It was suggested we either have an early breakfast as they were busy between 9 and 10, plus it was a bank holiday weekend, the choice was a continental and or a cooked breakfast, offering a full Scottish breakfast or a vegetarian option, plus hot drinks etc, the food was of good quality but what also make the food rememberable was a waitress by the name of Sylvia who could not of done anymore in the way of service a true tonic, on the second night we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant, although the choice of items on the menu was limited, it was scrumptious and flavour able. Please remember there may be a chance you may have to join a queue for breakfast also that masks need to be worn if walking around the hotel. We will definitely return to this gem of a hotel

This is a lovely new Marriott hotel, a short walk from Inverness airport. We received a warm, professional welcome from Sam at reception. Our room was spacious, and modern with very large TV and large shower room with lovely large mirror.
Staff throughout are very pleasant, and attend to every request promptly. The restaurant and bar area is attractive, and limited menu was fine over our 4 night stay, albeit a “special” nightly dish would be welcome. Hygiene was high throughout at this Covid time, albeit some guests flaunted the mask rule. The manager did take action to “recommend” a mask to those ignoring. Sylvia, our server, deserves special note for pleasant, courteous service, along with Sarah, the Reservations Manager. Josh is a professional manager, and, along with the GM, represent the Courtyard brand well, particularly in the short time it has been trading. Parking is adjacent to the hotel, and nearby car hire brands. Ticks the box for an airport overnight or longer staycation.

Great hotel, modern, luxury, everything is brand new, well considered and absolutely spotless. The hotel is in a perfect location to use it as a base to explore the Highlands and a bit of NC500, we stayed two nights and drove around to see all the sights, also helps not being in the city centre to avoid traffic. Really quiet, can’t hear any planes’ noise, contemporary bedrooms, big comfortable beds, good breakfast and great dinner choices, great service. Really enjoyed our stay.

Just back from a 5 night stay at the Courtyard and we had a lovely time. The room was lovely and spacious and very clean. Definately try and get a room at the front of the hotel looking into the airport. In these unusual times the Covid signposting and guidance around the hotel was very clear and plenty of sanitiser available throughout. From check in to check out all the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful and although currently no daily cleaning of room, extra supplies of towels and tea and coffee were easy to obtain. Due to current circumstances we did not eat in the restaurant. It has a large bar area with lots of choices of refreshments. If you are looking to book a lovely hotel to explore Inverness or further north definately one to add to top of your list. Only 2 miles to Castle Stuart golf course is a bonus. We shall be back.

An extremely pleasant stay at the courtyard.
The staff were all attentive and served with a smile, nothing was a bother to them.
The room itself was modern and had plenty of space. Very comfortable bed which meant for an enjoyable sleep.
Some folk might be put off by the distance it is to the city centre, however a 40 minute bus journey will take you right into the city centre. You can access the bus stop at the airport which is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
On returning to the hotel from the centre we booked a taxi online (taxi Inverness) which cost £20. Major shout out to this man, very pleasant and helpful for our future journey. This taxi company can be paid online and upfront, also convenient if you don’t carry cash.
Furthermore, breakfast was included in the deal. Again, staff were extremely happy to help and this made for an enjoyable breakfast. You can choose from a selection of continental style breakfast and a full Scottish, you can also mix and match. A nice touch was the takeaway bags, allowing you to take a croissant, butter, muffin and a drink away. The little touches matters!!
Finally, don’t be put off by being near the airport if you think this will impact your sleep. The hotel is so quite, we didn’t notice any noise whatsoever and it was quite busy due to the English bank holiday weekend.
To conclude, I’d advise anyone to stay here at this modern and comfortable hotel. Thanks for the enjoyable stay.

Had a lovely overnight stay at this hotel on a mini break to Inverness. Hotel is in a great location for exploring the local sights. Nice welcome on arrival, friendly reception staff, we had asked for a few special requests for our rooms while making our booking and were delighted these were met on arrival. Spotless clean rooms, with super comfy beds, blackout curtains, no outside noise. Our son enjoyed using the gym, you can book a slot for this. Enjoyed a very tasty breakfast, hot food is served directly onto your plate, everything was set out well and clearly signed and organised in the current circumstances. We will definitely return to this hotel, hopefully very soon.

I have stayed at the courtyard twice now, as my little boy loves aeroplanes, staying in hotels, traveling and Inverness especially Loch Ness as he thinks Nessie lives there. First visit upon arrival the receptionist asked if we wanted to book dinner for that night, my husband said he would think about it and the women said “I would be quick as it fills up quickly” I think priority should be given to guests staying at the airport but my husband did explain to me not to expect too much mannerism from the staff at a fair priced hotel. After we got to our room the fire alarm went off and we weren’t sure if it was a hoax or real, it turned out it was real and we waited outside in the middle of February for two fire engines to arrive. Not one member of staff explained what was happening again I think this is very poor and if someone was ignorant enough to set off the fire alarm they should of been charged. Breakfast was really nice the both times I have stayed.
I came back in April and on the booking I asked for a room over looking the airport for my little boy ( the whole reason we choose the hotel) we were given a room on the other side.
The carpets need a good clean in the hotel and this should be done often, the beds are very comfortable and I have bought the pillows they use, I enjoy staying because the rooms are soundproof and I have noise sensitivity and have no issues with noise from other rooms. The biggest downside is the lack of care from the staff and they need to be more attentive to your preferences.

Dear Private U, Thank you for writing a review following your stays with us in February and April this year. We are sorry that your first stay was disturbed by a fire evacuation, the safety of our guests is our utmost priority and I can assure you that all measures were followed to ensure this. I am sorry that the reason for the alarm was not explained to you, however the fire brigade were called and our fire procedures were followed. I have passed your comments on with regards to your room allocation to the reception team, they do try and accommodate guest requests as and when possible. I was delighted to read that you enjoyed our breakfast and that you found the beds and pillows very comfortable and rooms soundproofed. I do hope you might return to visit us again in the not too distant future. Kind regards Dorothy Green Director of Sales

A typical mid range chain hotel. It was comfortable, clean and everything worked. My only minor gripe because I am picky was the low shower pressure. However it was very pricey probably because there is no competition with this being the only hotel at or near the airport.
My room was on the non airport side of the hotel on the first floor. This overlooks open country but there is a factory in the mid distance.
I ate at the Mustard Seed Hotel in the city centre (see separate review) which I remembered from a previous visit. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant However getting in and out by public transport was not easy as the service only runs every hour and due to COVID has a capacity of 19 persons. Eating at the hotel is probably the best option.
So you could do a lot worse than this hotel but try not to look at the bill!
