The cabin was very modern and larger than we were expecting. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots & pans. We particularly enjoyed the complimentary coffee. The location is right next to the National Park which made it very convenient for us. I highly recommend Currant Ridge Cabins. The owners were very helpful is providing information to help us plan our...

We stayed at Currant Ridge for two nights at the end of our holiday in Alaska. Our cabin 'Chitina' was clean, comfortable and spacious. We made good use of the veranda thanks to some beautiful weather, there are lovely mountain views and also the gardens are beautifully maintained. Best to bring provisions with you and use the fully equipped kitchen...

This property is just perfect. Far enough away from "town" to feel isolated but with all of the amenities and privacy. Hot, hot water with great pressure is a huge plus after spending three days in the back country! Fresh produce was readily shared by the hosts, the cabins are well made and the furnishings are updated and well cared...

We stayed outside McCarthy at the Currant Ridge Cabins for 4 nights. The cabin was clean, comfortable and a scenic spot to enjoy the area. They provided fresh coffee beans and a fully appointed kitchen. After each day of hiking and adventuring in McCarthy and Kennicott, our two couples returned to the cabin for ambiance, relaxation and an adult beverage....

This was our 9th vacation in Alaska and our 2nd to W-SE/McCarthy, both times staying at Currant Ridge. Simply can't say enough about the quality of everything. The cabins are very modern and very clean, and the hosts make you feel like you're staying with family. They offered us fresh veggies from their greenhouse, brought us an air bed for...

We spent there one night which was not enough. I wish we had much more time there. The "cabin" is actually a full apartment with a kitchen, very nicely furnished. Well located as a base for tours into McCarthy. Need to take into account that there is no cellular reception or Wi Fi (unless you have a local cellular). If...

We spent 11 days in Alaska. Wrangell St. Elias and Currant Ridge was a highlight of the trip. We had a nice drive out with out and construction. Currant Ridge Cabins was a beautiful place to stay. We love that they are self sufficient using solar power and the greenhouse was beautiful. The cabin was well equipped with everything we...

After 2+ weeks in Alaska, from the Kenai to Denali to Valdez, Wrangell/St.Elias was our favorite location. Currant Ridge was also the best accommodation of the whole trip. Super clean, roomy, private, and comfortable. Highly recommend the mill tour, raft trip, and glacier hike.

We enjoyed the Currant Ridge Cabins very much. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of space. We had a couple of hot nights and it would have been nice if we had more windows to open for circulation. We loved Mccarthy Kennicott and loved the Root Glacier hike. We will be back

You have to want to go to McCarthy, but once there, the trip is truly worth it. Close to the end of a 59 mile dirt road that ends at the foot bridge leading to McCarthy, Currant Ridge is perfectly situated for exploring Kennecott and the surrounding area of the Wrangell/ St Elias National Park. The five cabins are simply...
