Sparrow Vale, Thattekad Amazing stay, beautiful scenery , peaceful and a lovely cottage. Its just 2 hours drive from kochi. The road towards the destination is good to drive on. It is a calm and beautiful nature hugging spot near a forest area. Ours was a ladies staycation .We felt quiet safe and free. Pool experience was wonderful, very neat and clean. Neat rooms and well maintained property. A different experience of stay in the cottage which is a real reconditioned traditional house of kerala. Absolutely perfect space to breath out your strain and inhale a cool refreshing sense of happiness. We are much appreciated to Sijo Sir(owner), who supported us in everyway and other staff who were so co-ordial to us.
Service was poor. Due to Covid, there are no enough staff to serve the guests. There is only one guy to serve 20+ guests. There is no chef in the resort. So if you need to get food you need to preorder. Food is delivered from outside which is not that great. We opted this place for a small get together and we were a group of 20 including 9 kids. There was frequent power failure and every time power goes the staff takes 5-7 minutes to switch on the generator. This was extremely difficult as we were with kids. The so called 200 year old mana is not worth the hype. It's so dingy and claustrophobic with no proper lighting. And they even didn't plan for a proper geyser in the bathroom. If you are with kids you expect these kind of bare minimum things in the room. Morning we were expecting a cup of tea for which they told we haven't ordered before and their kitchen was not functioning. However they managed to get it from outside. Hope management takes note of this and do something. It's a good property if you are going as a gang of friends or colleagues for a dharu party but not for family and kids.
