A first time for us 2 Kiwis to CXI where we targeted GTs and of course we out numbered by the "boney" boys. However that did not stop us having a most enjoyable trip both on and off the water. A big thanks to Lavinia & Jacob who assisted by their capable and friendly staff provide a great facility where...

Ikari House is a terrific fishing lodge. They provide all the meals, as well as transportation to and from the airport. WiFi is very weak, as is the air conditioner, but hey, this is a fishing lodge. It is located very close to where they launch the boats, so no time is wasted. The staff is terrific, as are the...

I was down on Kiritimati in late February 2016. I had a six night/five day fishing stay at the Ikari House. Mine was a hosted trip through Front Range Anglers in Boulder, CO. This isn't a plug, but want to remain objective as I don't know if my experience was because of FRA or what the lodge does for every...

The arrival at the airport is a bit of a shock but as far as the island goes, the accommodation is very good and the service is top notch. I honestly don't believe that the lodge staff or guides could do any more for you! The food was very good, morning fishing trips were punctual, you never visited the same...

Six of us from New Zealand stayed at Ikari House in September 2015. It was all we could have hoped for. Accomodations were more than adequate with hot water and an air conditioning unit. In house meals exceeded expectations and were wholesome and large enough for hard working fishermen. Outside bar and eating areas were ideal. Ikari Fishing Guides were...

I've just completed my third trip to Ikari House. The quality of the service and food has continued to improve and the fishing was good as ever - over 100 bones to 8lb in a week is good flyfishing anywhere. The guides are great and now that the boats are fitted with 4 stroke engines they are far more reliable....

The owners are putting the money back into the business and it shows. Ive visited 3 times in 5 years and the accom, food and facilities are getting better each time. Lovely people and if its fly fishing for Bonefish that your into then this is the spot. Very close to the ramp and access to the lagoon and outside...

I have just returned from my 5th trip to Ikari House at Christmas Island, or CXI as the locals call it. This Christmas Island is north of the Equator and in a line between Fiji and Hawaii. Over the past year Ikari House has gone through some major changes and is now bigger and better than ever. CXI may not...

Well we confused the heck out of our booking agent Ardvark McCleod and the staff at Ikairi. 2 came in from the USA, 2 americans came from in from Fjii and 3 kiwis from New Zealand. Ikairi thought we were coming from the UK as Ardvark McCleod are a UK based booking agent it was quite a bit of humour...

I've just returned from a weeks fishing on Christmas Island. We stayed at Ikari House and could not have been better looked after. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and secure. After a full day of wading the flats we returned to cold beers and excellent food - particularly the seafood. Jacob is a fantastic host and his team of kitchen...
