Kind , compassionate people and a very clean place to stay . The breakfast was more than enough and hopefully by the time we come back , your pool will be rebuilt since the hurricane took it away . A very good place to stay and I slept like a baby !
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel for several years. We will be back again next year. We have stayed on the beach front and partial view rooms. All have a great view of the ocean, The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is very good for a continental type expectation. I will say the hotel has not really been updated in several years but that is not a concern of ours as it is clean. There can be a bit of a wait for elevators during busy times. Again not a problem for us as we don't mind stairs even for several floors.
It was great to have a "home" away from home. We were here to fix up our NSB home after a tenant left it unexpectedly and we needed a base in which to stay. The Hyatt Place really fit that bill and more! Would definitely stay here again.
Over priced and under delivered. Dirty room, horrible water pressure. They give you shampoo, conditioner and body wash but they don’t refill the bottles for you to be able to use them. Don’t know If I’d ever stay here again
Beautiful view, convenient location, breakfast is sufficient. We made a mistake by reserving an ocean view room, we meant to reserve an ocean front room. The front desk lady was very kind to change our room to an ocean front room without extra charge. Very friendly! Hope next time when we come back the pool is fixed and we can access the beach directly from the hotel!
Thankfully, Hyatt Place Daytona Beach was open for business! We were in town for business and they made the best of it. A couple thing (pool) not open due to extensive damage from hurricanes but hopefully they will be back soon...
We got a dirty room with a huge DRIED coffee stain in front of the bed. Since the hotel had enough to do with the aftermath of the hurricane, we didn't want to cause additional trouble and put a towel on the stain. Since it was obviously old and dried up, we weren't aware that we should say that when we checked out. Now the carpet cleaning has been charged to our credit card. This is how you can scare off guests! Hyatt will never see us again!
When we moved into the room, there was a large dried coffee stain in front of the bed. After we were informed at check-in that some rooms were not available due to the hurricane, we put a towel over them because we didn't want to cause any additional stress. Unfortunately, the rest of the room wasn't really clean either. There was hair everywhere in the bathroom from our previous tenants. The next day we checked out early in the evening and went home. Now we found out that almost $300 was debited from our credit card without email or information for what. On inquiry I have now learned that this is due to the soiling of the carpet, which we did not cause. The maid supposedly didn't see him until after we did. Then the good one needs glasses, he was at least 1 square foot tall! A bottomless cheek!!! We paid $800 for two nights in a dated hotel. Hyatt will definitely not see us again in this life!…
Liked: - very friendly staff, they called several times notifying us about the damage sustained by the hotel due to hurricane Ian before our arrival, and provided us with the option to cancel. - Location of the hotel is perfect for visiting daytona beach and surrounding areas, right on the beach with great view (even though the beach access is closed) - very nice breakfast selection, and all real ceramic plates/cups instead of typical single use plates/cups in similar type of hotels, nice touch and environmental friendly, and breakfast with a view of the ocean in the morning is hard to beat as well. Things to be improved: - the room could use better upkeep: in our room, the sliding door to bathroom was very noisy and not easy to open/close, so we had to leave it open all the time …
Although the Ocean Front rooms are being renovated from Hurricane Ian, the side rooms are surprisingly just as nice with great ocean views and also watching the boats going down the Intercoastal waterway.
