The only thing going for this place is location on the beach. The rooms are disgusting and the owners have zero customer service skills. The place badly needs a maintenance person. Rooms are in disrepair and our room had roaches. We just killed them and left them on the floor for owners to see. It was bad from the start. Even though we had a reservation... the office is always locked, and they made me stand outside for 20 minutes even when I could see the desk girl inside. And asking for a roll of toilet paper seemed a chore to the owners. Nearly anyplace else would be better than this hotel.
Everyone was kind and super friendly. The room, staff, and location were perfect. We needed a safe, clean, and affordable room that would accommodate my children and pups for one night. We arrived early and they immediately focused on getting the room ready as quickly as possible for us while we hung out on pool and beach. The courtyard and pool are super cozy and family friendly. Being on the shore made it beyond easy to have immediate fun. Very walkable access to food, gift shops, and snacks. No driving, ridiculous expenses, or fussing to enjoy the shore. My kiddos are already planning a trip back with more family next year. Thank you Christine!
The pictures do not any good for this property - basically the unit which was state as one of their best rooms was across the street that as soon as you opened the door smelled like the worst cleaning supplies were utilized along with pesticides sprayed to kill something. Not including the fact there were locals living in the 2 units walking up to this unit and was a completely unsafe environment for my wife and daughters to be staying at. Felt completely tricked by the welcoming ads and pictures then arriving to see multiple flooring tiles throughout unit cracked, all the interior walls horribly dirty, wood trim throughout in poor condition, fridge looked like someone slammed it on the ground an dragged it along the floor along with the furniture that looked like it came out of an old yard sale or thrift shop. Couches were not even the all black nice ones in the pics. I couldn't even imagine the health conditions for sleeping in the place let alone bringing our daughter too for her birthday to stay the weekend. in every way this facility was nasty, dirty and unsafe feeling. Please do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. When we went to discuss nicely with the property manager - she simply didn't think anything was wrong and basically stated oh well there is no refunds. At that point I simply gave her the key and said thanks - She has no idea who I am nor what I do in the community. She will be reported to the local Hotel Motel Association, State of FL Hotel Motel Association, the Halifax Chamber, DAB Visitors Bureau as well as the DBPR.…
I informed management I would be checking in at 10 pm, I didn't get there until 11 pm due to vehicle breaking down, this manager tried to scold me and lecture me for it being so late. She was very rude and not compassionate at all. The rooms are so disgusting they are never cleaned and the management admitted that to my sister and I. The beds are so old you can feel every spring in the mattress. I have never seen so much uncaring and plain out nastiness! TRUST ME DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! DANGER! I have many more photos of the filth
I was supposed to stay with my daughter at Ocean Walk Resort until her grandma changed last minute and said we couldn’t stay. I needed a cheap find until I could get on the road to go home the next day. Well, this place was cheap on a 3rd party site. The pictures looked nice and it had a decent score. How? IDK! I got there and the lady was rude at first, but I killed her with kindness and she quickly changed too. I got to my room- I should’ve left and just drove tired anyways. The floors were sandy- fine, you’re on the beach, but my bed was sandy; VERY sandy! The furniture is falling apart, under the bed was dirty, there was bugs in my fridge, I don’t think their housekeepers are equipped with proper cleaning supplies, especially during COVID. Luckily, I had Lysol, which I almost used the entire can. I would like to see what room they use to advertise because my room looked NOTHING like it. The upsides were it was quiet and right on the beach. The housekeepers are SUPER kind, but again, I don’t think they have the proper cleaning supplies. They seem way too clean to leave the rooms in the conditions they’re in. It seriously reminds me of a weekly motel for the homeless and drug addicts of Daytona Beach. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.…
We came with our grandkids and dog. We liked that we could bring the dog but we didn't feel that the room was properly sanitized during the COVID-19 summer. Plenty of room, full kitchen but small bathroom - no place to hang beach towels. The "courtyard" had not been cleaned or provided umbrellas, nor did the pool area. We left a day early - the last night there they were "remodeling" the unit next door. We couldn't sleep. If you were just there to party with 8 - 10 people, it would be a great place!
Went down for my daughters 10th birthday they had 2 rooms left 102 and 103 the beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean, the owner was really nice we hung out with his family at the pool on Sunday y'all I have read reviews about him saying he was rude, maybe it was the way you spoke to him first, you know do unto others.. went to the beach at night and you can see both piers (Daytona and Sunglow) very nice place for only $95 ON THE BEACH, WITH A POOL AND A KITCHEN!
I checked in and the first thing I saw was two cockroaches scurrying across a dirty tiled floor that hadn't been mopped in probably a month the photos that I'm about to upload speak for themselves either pictures of the bathroom outside of the bathtub inside of the bathtub underneath the refrigerator underneath the stove roach droppings on the window sills and I needn't go on this is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in a lot of the hotels I'm a native Floridian and I have to tell you that the male owner of this hotel is an absolute idiot and he's rude he's condescending and he treats women like s*** on his shoe only his wife is the Saving Grace of this establishment Penny is a goddess to be married to this pig of hers renovation or no renovation this disgusting Hotel full of black toxic mold needs to be demolished to the ground…
Bugs and small dirty rooms .sketchy staff and their family that lives there .Owners took my money even tho i left..probably used it to buy drugs and not nothing for the kids just sad.Health department was called. This should be closed down by the state of Florida.
I have just returned from spending 4 nights here. Although the rooms are dated they were clean and I know that the staff are working on improvements. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would return here because it was so welcoming.
