The room was stinky smelly.initially my husband booked it on booking dot com but they cancelled our booking and lied to us that our card has declined although they had charged it.my husband called and asked for a mattress as our room was booked for three persons as a respond the management misbehaved and spoke bad language!very non professional as they don’t know how to deals with their customers.filthy bathroom with an exhaust like a bulldozer voice .extremely annoying!WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE.VERY POOR
I made a last minute booking through hotels.com for 5 people to stay here 2 nights over labor day weekend. When I made the booking the room was advertised as approx $200/night and I didn't noticed when I clicked pay that there was an additional $230 in taxes and fees (thats 50%), approximately $120 of which is for occupancy fees I didn't notice at the time since it's not easily disclosed. The room I booked was a deluxe with 2 queens beds and the pictures show that there is a sofa but when we arrived the room was smaller than the pictures and missing the sofa entirely so 5 people could not in fact fit in this room. I've been dealing with hotels.com for 3 months now trying to communicate with the hotel to get a refund of the additional occupancy fees given that 2 people had to find somewhere else to stay and I was given a different room than what I booked. They have blocked hotels.com's number so it only goes to voicemail. Hotels.com has sent them multiple emails to which they've never replied. Today I was able to reach someone when I three-way called them with hotels.com but they said it was their personal cell phone and they were on break so to call back in 30 minutes. When hotels.com called them in 30 minutes it again went straight to voicemail and when I called there was no answer. It's not acceptable for a business to keep blowing off customers with a valid complaint. This is not a properly-run business and they are ripping people off with hidden occupancy fees and not even providing the product advertised. If you put in any amount of guests over 2 it charges an additional occupancy fee of over approx $50 per person regardless of the price of the room, which is absurd. This is well beyond the state-mandated occupancy tax of 5% and just a flagrant example of hidden fees taken to the extreme. Hotels.com FINALLY refunded the additional occupancy fees today after multiple failed attempts to reach the hotel since it was obvious that the hotel was just avoiding us.…
We booked this hotel on the day of our one night stay, after spending a full day in Atlantic City casinos. We were looking for something basic, but comfortable, and without spending a fortune at one of the superficially glitzy and fancy hotels on the AC Boardwalk. We checked in at 1 AM and we were just looking for a comfortable night of sleep and shower and breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately, sleep is what I could not get. Although we had a room (relatively spacious) with a King bed, the sheets kept slipping off and the mattress was too soft and not firm enough for comfort. As if that wasn't enough, we were put in a room with an ice machine and an elevator across a narrow hallway and boy especially the ice machine would not shut up. It kept making crackling sounds throughout the entire night - and the sounds were as audible as though they were coming from inside the room. Thanks to the flimsy mattress and sheets and the ridiculous and constant noise, I got precisely 0 hours of sleep. The room otherwise was in OK condition. It was decently furnished, albeit in rustic and kind of old style, and the hook on the bathroom door was coming off. There was otherwise a desk, iron board and enough hangers and even a comfortable reading ergonomic chair. The shower was good. The breakfast was basic; maybe too basic. But it was enough for our needs. All in all, if I had gotten a great night sleep, I would have given this hotel 4 stars. But I cannot give it more than 3 given my total lack of night of rest after an exhausting day.…
My wife and I stayed at the Fairbridge for a night out and were very pleased. We had the deluxe room with the jacuzzi, very nice and clean. The customer service at the front desk was excellent. There are lots of good food places near by as well. We will definitely be back.
Was looking for an affordable no frills hotel to spend a quick night before we checked into the Casino the next morning. I read some of the positive reviews, and decided to give it a shot. Checked in at 4am, and the receptionist gave us a flat 65$ rate. Tax, fees included. The room was updated, cleaned, and obviously well cared for by management. Nice soft bed, and a clean bathroom with strong water pressure. There’s a lot of landmines hotels in the surrounding area, but this was a diamond in the rough. I’d stay here again the next time I visit.
My wife and I stayed first at the casinos but due to price hikes, we stayed on our second visit at the Fairbridge. We enjoyed the proximity to Atlantic City and the eateries in the immediate vicinity. The hotel was clean and the staff professional and friendly. We would highly recommend it.
My wife and I stayed here to get a cheaper deal than Atlantic City casinos. It looked good from the outside and we were pleasantly surprised with the room. It was a big room with a clean and comfyKing bed. The water pressure (a big thing for us) was great and the bathroom was exceptionally clean. We were very happy there and will probably choose to stay there again. The only problem we had is the walls aren't as soundproof as we'd like and some of the neighbors were a bit loud early in the morning. They also have waffles and omelettes for breakfast as well as the usual coffee/juice/cereal.
My boyfriend and I booked last minute after attending an event in Atlantic City. We called before hand to ask a few questions, and before confirming if I wanted to make a reservation, the gentlemen on the phone said he would drop the price by a few dollars based on their third party competitors prices. For a Saturday night with a Jacuzzi suite I thought that was very generous. So we booked the hotel room and half an hour later arrived. Upon arrival, there were a few things in the lobby that were not my taste but added to the hotel none-the-less. We checked in very easily, got our keys and were on our way. For some reason our door was not unlocking so they gave us a new room and were very nice about it. The room was very spacious and the Jacuzzi was huge! It was a relatively good stay, the only things I would have to comment on were that it was quite noisy between the AC and the guests next to us, the sheet covering the main mattress was like a regular bed sheet, not the one that wraps over the edges and does not move when you sleep, one of the Jacuzzi jets was not working and it was very loud and the jets itself needed very minor cleaning. Oh! I will say my biggest complaint was there there was hair embedded in the wash clothes and towels, and they were not from me or my boyfriend, that was pretty off-putting to say the least. This also was not just one towel, it was every single one was interlaces with black curly hair. I would defiantly check the towels and wash cloths before use. All that aside, for a last minute stay a few miles away from where we attended our event, with a king Jacuzzi sweet, a great price, and friendly staff, I expected a few minor things. However, if the towels were cleaner I would probably stay again if I was ever in the area. Overall, it was a nice stay for the price.…
Came down a day early to beat the weather so we made a last minute reservation here. Not disappointed at all. Clean. Well appointed. Recently renovated. Clearly managed and cared for by a family that takes pride in their establishment. The customer service was impeccable. I would certainly stay here again. Bonus: it’s near everything.
