I stayed here recently with my sister and was very pleasantly surprised especially as we stayed in the awful Lawlors of Dungarvan the previous night so our expectations were not high. The public rooms were very nice, clean and bright and we were happy to find the same was true when we headed upstairs. Our room was large and bright,...

Nice little hotel with decent bar and breakfast food (you won't go hungry). Room was clean and nicely decorated. Good location, right in the middle of the town with a decent sized free carpark. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Although this is an old hotel we got a lovely surprise when we were shown to our room, it was big bright & airy, with a big comfortable bed & soft pillows. We had a lovely meal on one night but the fry for breakfast was so greasy that I couldn't eat it.The staff were very hard working & coped...

The least noise from outside was very audible through the old windows. Music from the bar downstairs kept us up. Noise from other rooms when plumbing in use ie showers toilets. Would get better quality hotel for same price elsewhere.

I hate to give a poor review of anywhere but I am afraid this hotel warrants it! We live locally and having a Spanish visitor staying with us wanted to mark his visit and take him out to dinner. Everything started well whilst they took our order, then nothing. Food - steak was tough, chewy and cold. When we asked...

Stopped off at the hotel while passing through Lismore for tea and coffee. An imposing building with a not unpleasant feeling of anyfading elegance. A member of our party born in the area remembers looking through the windows as a child never dreaming that one day she would be taking tea and scones there. The scones were great and we...

We stopped here on our way down to cork from Kilkenny. Had the club sandwich, which was good and the ham and cheese panini, which was also good. The problem was the service. We were the only people in the restaurant and it took them 15 minutes to get to our table.

There was no reason to fault the room, spotlessly clean but small and above the bar and the outdoor seating area. Warm weather, window open, music and voices, sweeping, clearing glasses...all the noise was heard until late at night and as the hotel is right on a corner there was traffic noise also. However, the breakfasts were lovely and the...

Could not fault a single part of the day. Food, service, staff and rooms were fabulous! The reviews on here do not show the true side to this hotel. Hotel rooms were beautiful and very big! Wedding food was faultless and enjoyed by everyone. Staff were so hospitable and couldn't do enough for everyone throughout the day. Thank you for...
