A wooden structure over 4 floors with no porter or lifts. The bed had a counterpane in floral, 2 European pillows and neatly folded under the floral cover was a doona cover. Yep, just the cover. Never mind it is too hot in the room for anything else. Everything smelled of perfumes. Even the toilet paper was perfumed, but soft. The sheets smelt of laundry powder and perfume. the shower defeated me and a couple of the others. It looked unstable and over two foot step up. During the night it was possible to be cool but you had to have the window open. To be quiet you needed the window closed and swelter. I chose cold until 4 am when it was too cold for just the empty doona cover Lovely breakfast. Oatmeal porridge, fresh White bread with butter which tasted and looked like butter and peach jam. All the other stuff like cheese, sausage, pancakes, tea, coffee etc. If you could figure out a way to turn down the heating and are young and fit probably a fair place to stay.…
We were here for just one night, arriving late by train from Kazan, leaving next morning after breakfast. I had room number 5, on the first floor. No lifts. Some of us in the group had to climb up to the third and fourth floors! However, there was no problem as regards luggage, the hotel had staff to carry our luggage up to whichever floor we were on. On the whole, a very decent place to stay. The whole building was made of timber! Except for the fact that there was no lift, I cannot find anything lacking in this place: my room, though small, was well furnished, well heated, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was adequate. There was limited choice for breakfast, but the food was plentiful and tasty. Staff in the hotel and dining room were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place if you need to stay in Murom.…
Happy that we only had one night here. There are four floors with steep stairs, no elevators. The room was a decent size with a double bed, 2 chairs, a dressing table and TV. The room was hot and stuffy, there was no airconditioning and when you opened the window, for a small town there was a lot of road noise. The bathroom was very small and difficult to move around, the shower was a modular with a very high step to get in. Breakfast was below par with an offering of overly sweet porridge, white bread (no toaster), pancakes, some cheese and salami. It was an extra cost for coffee. Very friendly hosts though.
