Set amidst green fields, and towering coconut trees, our home stay sits in a quiet little spot, about 100 meters away from the picturesque Thottada Beach which is perfect for a swim The proximity of KK Heritage to the beach ,renders it an ideal vacation get-away to those who are looking to soak up some much needed sun and beach air. The abundance of surrounding greenery serves as an abode to a cluster of birds thus making bird watching one of the prime activities at our vacation home. With Kerala’s famed coconut trees serving as an enclosure, we also offer a glimpse into toddy tapping – one of traditional Kerala’s oldest occupations. We make arrangements for you to witness Theyyam a ritualistic dance form seen in North Kerala only. If getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city life is a priority on your vacation to-do list, come away to KK Heritage where beauty and serenity go hand in hand.Kannur international airport is 25 kms from KK Heritage .
Hello. Sorry for my English 😉 KK HERITAGE is worth even 10 stars. The best place in India. Only sounds of nature you can hear there. Birds singing all the time. Very peaceful, owner is so helpful and food is excellent. Also owner will help you to see a Theyyam Dance. Definitely you should see that performance. Definitely 10 stars for KK HERITAGE and his owners Sreeranj and his wife Jyothi. It was the best part in our time in India. Andrew and Hanna.

Staying at KK Heritage was a delight. I spent 9 days there. The rooms are comfortable, views from the veranda are lovely, and the ambience is calm. The homestay is on a backwater, with the beach nearby. Getting to the beach or to streets that lead to the village is quick, though the paths that lead to them could be challenging for anyone with significant mobility impairment. There are numerous beautiful walks to take in any direction, and birdwatching opportunities are plentiful. The main reasons I will return, though, have to do with the hosts, who are exceptionally warm and welcoming. Ranji and Jyothi are also quite accommodating, providing great suggestions for how to follow your interests in the area, from teyyam to handloom weaving to local temples. Ranji also makes the best home-cooked food I have eaten over decades of staying in India -- he is an amazing cook. I will definitely be back! …

I have stayed a week with Sreeranj and Jyothi at KK Heritage. And decided to stay for three more weeks. I guess that says it all. To go to breakfast and dinner here is a food adventure. Sreeranj is a very good chef. You get amazing dishes made of really fresh ingredients. And for lunch there is always something small to keep you going. With their own well for water and a filter system, the stay feels very safe. I have had no problems to eat raw vegetables and juices and drink the filtered water. For a solo traveller the care shown is heart warming. And the "everyone eats together-concept" brings good company. If you are interested in Theyyam, the ritual ceremony, just ask Sreeranj for guidence and you will find yourself at the right place at the right time having a real cultural experience. You can see the sunrise from the garden, and the sunset from the beach, which is just 100 m away. A very clean peaceful beach with very few people. The kind you dream of. Sometimes I have been all alone there.…

Best! Because the place itself, the vicinity to the sea, the beach itself, the view, the food, the tranquility and above all, Sreeranj, the host. This is one of the best place for us in India. We keep coming over the years, and it is always as good as it was.

We had such a perfect stay at KK Heritage. After a chaotic few weeks, we arrived at KK Heritage absolutely exhausted and in need of serenity. And we certainly found it. Sreeranj went above and beyond to help us with our travel arrangements, double checking we would need to be fed upon arrival, and encouraging us to catch sunset on the beautiful beach before worrying about checking it. The walk from our tuk tuk to the house was beautiful in itself, where we caught the sun going down on the horizon. The setting is perfect, in lush tropical garden and surroundings, just a short walk to the most beautiful beach I have been to in India thus far. The house has been closed for over 2 years due to covid, and Sreeranj has been working hard to renovate it during this time. We were honoured to be his first guests after this long and challenging time. Sreeranj cooked us delicious food, chatted with us while we all ate together, and organised our transport back to the train station. We can't wait to go back!…

If I could give KK ten stars I would! In March 2020 when Mr. Modi announced lockdown and flight ban I was at KK Heritage with a few other shocked travelers. I watched as Mr. Sree Ranj made superhuman efforts to deal with hysterical guests, stubborn police and unbending authorities to enable his guests to make it home before lockdown. All made it except me. I remained locked down for 3 months in India, during which Sree Ranj and his wife Jyothi made sure I was safe, cared for my every need and even in lockdown cooked the most wonderful food for me. They treated me as part of their family. KK Heritage is a wonderful paradise of a place, overlooking the back waters, near Thottada beach under the palm groves. Ranji's food is the best, bar none! It's a bird watchers haven, it's a local vibe, it's a place for peace and quiet, great food and great company. It's my home from home. I will always go back, and so should you.…

This is one of the finest place in Kannur for a relaxing stay. Tucked away in front of the backwaters, with the beach at walking distance. You MUST stay here for: 1. Amazing, comfy and clean rooms. The homestay is extremely calm and cozy. 2. Amazing food. Trust me Sreeranj is one awesome cook. His fish curry, puttu and Kadle curry, and Moru curry was lipsmacking good. Food was filling and utterly satisfying. 3. Sreeranj is one of the nicest, humblest host I’ve met on my travels. His gentle approach and helping out with our stay was definitely the highlights. No wonder this place has a raving reviews from all travellers. One needs to keep in mind that this place must be booked for people who love tranquility, wants to bask in the calmness of nature. If you’re of the type who enjoys loud music, is particular about drinking to your hearts’ content then perhaps this place is NOT for you.…

A homely getaway at the Thottada beach is ideal for a family get-together with 5 double rooms on the river front n the beach 200 meters away. Good food served in the garden among the green foliage and sea breeze by warm hosts n owners Ranji n Jyothi who brought in a surprise Christmas cake on Christmas Eve to make our stay even more special.

As the locals call them , Ranjiettan and Jyothiechi, were very helpful and warm hosts. The place is surrounded by greenery and the beach is less than 5 mins away by walk. Rooms were very neat and clean and food was simple, yet very delicious. The kids had fun just running around and ofcourse playing on the swings. We enjoyed our stay and looking forward to visit again.

Another amazing stay at KK Heritage. Warm hospitality by the hosts, and the serene quietness of the place was beyond imagination. Had a great time with family, with good food & some sweet toddy 😊 Hope to come back later this year for another getaway holiday.
