Good for a business travel based on my two days stay there. The property is very close to the railway station and the main business area. Being at the middle of core business, a family trip expecting some luxurious stay may not find it interesting. The road leading to the hotel is a bit narrow. If one is driving, then should be experienced to navigate the rush. Once at hotel, parking is very good. Rooms near and clean, breakfast buffet is reasonable. The restaurant attached to hotel was not functional during my stay in Oct 2023.

Hotel Rainbow Suites is one of the best business class hotels in the Kannur city, just opposite to the railway station. The standard AC Room where I stayed was spacious and clean. They provided mineral water in the room. The complimentary breakfast with various South Indian and North Indian dishes was tasty. The service staffs were so friendly and helpful.

Could not fault this hotel... We arrived at 6am and were promptly allowed into the rooms we had booked for that night, allowing us to get some well needed sleep after a long sleeper bus journey.
The buffet lunch was plentiful and very reasonable in price.
Dinner was devine! They have a 'Kebab Master' based here and they didn't dissapoint. It was some of the best food we have ever indulged in, across Asia.
Would definitely return, even if it was just to eat!

This hotel and staff are some of the worst I have ever come across!!
I was quite busy in the morning phone calls and little delayed for my breakfast, I entered the cafeteria at sharp 9.57am and only one staff was available and plates was not available, he was just staring at me and said breakfast will not be served after 10am!
I have selected higher package with break fast however he was responding the way he was doing some favor or charity!!Â
I went to reception to report issues, I was told know one could deal with it, at that point no manager on site!!
Then they said they would provide breakfast as a special case, since I felt it as real humiliation we haven't taken the breakfast.Â
No hospitality, no empathy, no professionalism and no manners...
Finally during my check out I have asked for GM and he just apologized for the inconveniences!!Â
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, I will warn them to stay away!

We stayed two nights and found the place clean and peaceful.It is worth to mention that we could feel excellent hospitality,very courteous staff and good ambiance.The hotel is very near to railway station and shopping centers are nearby.

Comfortable big rooms which can easily adjust a third bed.Right in the city.Not very attractive and trendy but good for budget travelers.Buffet breakfast not very good.Toilet fittings and other accessories are old.

I am utterly disappointed with the service of this hotel, including the attitude of the service staff at the front desk.
We had a long drive from Kochi to Kannur and when we arrived at Hotel Rainbow Suites at 12am, we expected a quick check-in. But the front desk questioned on our booking that we had via Make My Trip. We had the confirmation booking with payment done and despite that confirmation, the staffs insisted that there was no such booking confirmed in their system and instead of helping further to check, they pushed the problem to us to check with Make My Trip directly.
At such a late hour, the staff should have arranged for a room first and instead we ended up 1hr at reception just negotiating on a room and the booking. We also had to make another payment as it was very late and we had lost all energy talking to uncompassionate and service disoriented people. I have been to many hotels and never experienced such inconvenience in getting a room especially when booking was made in advance with full payment.
This is a very disappointing and unhappy experience. We will think twice of booking this hotel again.

Nice get together party with my old classmates, it was awesome , eveerone really enjoyed with family and old classmate easy to reach this hotel, four star facilities in affordable rate, food was too good and service people and nice room also, its over all supperb
