Had a wonderful week in this very special location on the Malabar coast. Kannur Beach House grew on us day by day with its magical concoction of lush nature, untouched tropical beach setting, pleasantly simple rooms with fantastic views over the lagoon, delicious food and charming hosts. This homestay is perfect for people seeking uncomplicated relaxation in a splendid scenario. Superb.
Delightfully relaxing holiday at KBH. A warm and friendly welcome at the gate from Nazir and Rosi for a second visit to their charming Homestay. First things first, out of the gate again, stand on the footpath and breathe in ... sunlight on water, crashing of surf, wind in the trees ... And breathe out. That’s it ... apart from choosing books from the well stocked library, deciding on a hammock and strolling to the beach before the sun is too hot. Oh yes! Appreciation to kitchen staff for serving delicious breakfasts and suppers ... each meal was a feast of choice and flavours, shared with all the other guests at the vibrant communal dining table. Recommend a trip into Kannur Town for a light lunch at Mayuri North Indian Food. Blue skies everyday.
This is our third visit to Kannur Beach House (KBH). We have grown to love the relaxed atmosphere of this Homestay as well as the charming hosts who look after all their guests so well and really go the extra mile! We love the quietness of the lagoon, the paths through the coconut groves alongside it, teeming with birds and other wildlife, and of course the nearby beach. The food is the best we have found in our travels In India both in terms of variety of dishes, quantity and quality. Also, staying at KBH provides a wonderful opportunity to visit a local area a little off the beaten track which makes for a really interesting experience. We would highly recommend this Homestay.
This was our 6th time at KBH and it did not disappoint. We stayed for 3 weeks this time which flew by in a second. The food just gets better and better. Soo healthy and tasty breakfasts were to die for. This time a new ayrverdic center has opened practically next door which was really great, I went for a full body oil massage and loved it, it was a good price also at 1200 rupees. Also a new parotta/tea stall has opened at thottada west which we liked for lunch very much, it's new so not always open or available but when it was we were pleased. We went to see the goldsmith next door who made a wedding ring for us from silver which we had engraved and was a bargain price. We loved watching him at work a total master craftsman and a local ledge. And what can I say about Rosi and…
