Chera rocks, the real lonely planet, a complete contrast from busy city life, has no sounds of modern world. I am sure, before you leave the place you will learn to identify different types of natures sounds and also to enjoy the healing effects of these sounds. You will be amazed to find a empty seashore with no sales person or masseur.....You and your gorgeous sea alone! You may be surprised to see the easy accessibility to road, railway and international airports while Chera Rocks remains as a lonely planet.....That's the way God has created it....Come and celebrate your holidays and make it unforgettable....
Extraordinary hospitality, delicious cooking, combined with an exquisite location on an unspoilt beach, make this rustic beach house stand out as the very best place to stay for peace and tranquility, beauty and nature and a warm welcome in this area. My sixth visit as a solo female traveller and it's better than ever. Can't wait to go back! Thank you to all the wonderful team at for their genuine care about my safety and wellbeing while staying at Chera Rocks.

Access (down uneven steps) is not great and my room was more basic than I expected but the team, the location and the food in particular were all amazing. A great place to chill. Thanks to everyone at Chera Rock for a lovely few days.

This was my second visit to Kerala to join Vanessa and Mano’s retreat. Every retreat is different and focuses on personal development and spiritual growth. This years retreat was amazing and with Vanessa’s gentle and compassionate guidance l was able to retrench and to rethink my personal and professional goals going forward. Chera Rocks Beach House is the perfect location for the retreat as it offers the most outstanding Keralan cuisine, with breathtaking views and extremely friendly and helpful staff who will go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is one you will always remember. I can’t recommend Walk Your Talk Retreats at Chera Rock Beach House enough for anyone wanting to have some time out to meditate and reflect on their life.

Chera Rocks is the perfect resort if you are looking to enjoy the peace, quiet, and tranquility of nature, steps away from the sea and far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We loved it so much we extended our stay— twice! Relax on a pristine and practically private stretch of beach. Great place to swim, enjoy reading in the hammock or under the palm trees, walk along the beach, visit the nearby sacred cave, watch the epic sunsets, and we even saw phosphorescent plankton in the waves after dark. The food is delicious home-cooked Indian meals, and we requested all vegetarian. Generous portions. The owners and workers were so kind and helpful before and during our stay. They helped us arrange a visit to a local temple. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and there is drinking water available. This place is truly special and unique— you won’t find anywhere else like it!…

I never tire of this exquisite retreat on the beautiful Kizhunna Beach, Kannur. A relaxed and peaceful atmosphere pervades every inch of this small seaside collection of beach cottages, scattered around a palm filled clearing in the jungle forest that surrounds it. There's no road here, just steps down to the resort or a meandering path through the palms. There's always someone to take care of you in every way there, but in a relaxed and unintrusive way. The food is reknowned with delicious home cooking by a wonderful local lady chef. There's always a wide variety of dishes with every meal and the fresh fish is a daily treat! A community of fishermen in small boats operates from just next to the resort and ensures the freshest of fish for dinner. They become part of the rhythm of life during your stay there. The rooms are attractive but could do with more comfortable chairs and shelving if you're staying for a week or so - which I would highly recommend! No TV and wi fi can be spotty so it's for those who want to get away from everything. It's a beach resort for total relaxation. The sea is warm and inviting and safe to swim directly at the front and sides of the resort. There's also many places to visit nearby and the unique draw of Theyyam performances from November to February, especially in January and February here. …

We stayed 3 nights in this idyllic spot, smack bang on the beach with magical views over the Arabian Sea. The food is creative, delicious, plentiful & at night you are eating by candle light on the beach.Big thank you to Krishna & the team, we would love to return to this unique spot. Highly recommend everything they have created at this wonderful property, plus you are given a free transfer from Kannur train station.

Spent 3 nights at this beautiful property bang on the beach. The majestic ocean and the rocks jutting out during the low tide. Almost private beach with hardly a soul around. Special thanks to Pramod (helper cum prawn dish specialist)/ Shiju the therapist ( do get the foot and neck massage done)/ Karthiyanie The COOK ( try the idiappam/ fish/ prawns and crab along with the vegetable stew and dal/ kadhi) and above all Nivedh. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The washrooms are clean and so is the linen etc. Sunsets are free and daily visible and the majestic ocean is just a few steps away. Do note that the parking is around 150-200 meters away and one has to climb down around 20-25 steps at various levels to reach the beach. Its a easy walk though. A PERFECT DO NOTHING HOLODAY WE HAD.…

It's hard to find a beach resort away from the crowd. Browsed through few beach resorts near payyambalam beach. It was noisy, jammed with vehicles and crowded with 0 privacy. This place is a gem for people who want privacy, enjoy a scenic beach view from your room, and calm between the dense trees around the property. The owner was really friendly, the food was good and rooms were well maintained. Really happy with our visit here. A 5/5 beach resort for me!

It was a wonderful experience for two days in the Chera Rock Beach House. The place is quite secluded and a bit of downhill walk from the Car Park, but that's where the beauty lies, as you approach closer to the Beach House the vast expanse of the sea opens its arms in full splendor. Food was good and tasty, you can tell them your spice levels and they will adjust it according to your needs. Super services, not easy walking up and down the stairs to serve food multiple times during the day, but they work and hard to make your stay a pleasant one. .Super Service. Location - well nothing to mention, just go for it - absolutely mind blowing. Sure would suggest all reading the review to go and experience nature in its best form.
