The photos in the website depict this place as a awesome Homestay. Its actually a very below average lodge. No Room service, you cant even get Tea / Coffee. The rooms are terrible. Only good factor is the rooms are clean. Overly priced for such a worse place.

One of the three staff member at night was drunk and there behaviour was very bad they were shouting in there local language and laughing when i told them that i know only English and Hindi completely unprofessional. When i complaint about it the next day, they were like ok sir you can do whatever you want, not a single apology from there side. If you are planning to visit Kannur there are a number of good hotels with better price and Better staff. I was with my family so i must recommend you to avoid this hotel.

Everybody has different experiences. So it is difficult to judge other people’s comments. To me some of the comments below seem rather overblown. I stayed in this hotel in an annex building for 6 days and felt quite comfortable. I chose this hotel mainly because of location. Nearby you can find restaurants and cafes . ( Mahesh is a fish food restaurant with tasty selections and good service. There is a Parsi restaurant called Ideal Corner. Starbucks has strong wifi connection) There are lots of juice stands and also many small shops for grocery. you can go to İndian Gate by taxi with 50 rupees,if locals help you. My room was only 14 square meters. But quiet , clean and comfortable with running hot water, refrigerator, electric pot , safe and free wifi ( when many guests use it, it runs slow). Breakfast room has only 7 tables. So you may have to wait for your turn and may have to share a table with other guests. But generally it is not unpleasant. Omelette is tasty and fresh fruits are available. If you are fussy about coffee, ask for coffee from machine, not from the pot on the buffet table. What I liked most is the attitude of receptionists, bellboys, restaurant staff and a housekeeping staff. Because I stayed rather long, I got to know them quite well. They are all extremely helpful. For example , when I wanted to go to Leopold’s cafe in Colaba ,one bellboy went around to get a taxi driver who would take me for 50 rupees! Also a receptionist found for me an excellent driver who speaks good English to take me around Mumbay for a whole day for a reasonable price. They can recommend a good hospital, too. Only thing I did not get used to in the streets of this area is air pollution( although not as bad as some areas of Mumbai) maybe mainly because of traffic. However, this is the price we always have to pay in big cities of India. If you don’t feel shy to wear a mask, it will keep your lung a little cleaner!

You walk into a filthy building that houses a tiny reception staffed by unfriendly people. You take a lift up to the room and see rubbish piled on each floor on the way up. You walk down the hallway and see that half the rooms are still under construction, with rubbish (like food wrappers, etc) peeking out from under the ramshackle doors. The room was absolutely dirty, the floor was covered in hairs and stains. The walls had holes in them. One door led to a pit! A child would have fallen down and been killed. The SHEETS WERE SOILED and covered in stains when we got in (blood, food, ????) and there was no toilet paper. It was the worst night ever. The moment we stepped in we plotted our escape. We had booked 4 nights?!!?!?!?!? but it was so revolting that we left the next morning early. We did not want our feet to touch the floor, didn't want to lie on the bed (we put our own blankets and scarves on top). STAY AWAY.

Just don’t go there. Take a rickshaw ride for a few minutes and find much better places. The apartment was filthy, dirt on the floors, walls and the bed. The whole place is depressing. No one at the reception at night. So anyone can enter the building. Staff doesn’t speak English. And again, it’s crazy filthy. We booked for 3 nights but left after the first night. It’s cheap, but still overpriced for what you get.

Location is good, just two minutes walk from railway station. A good decent new hotel to stay for a day. A simple hotel yet was a good stay. But you cannot expect good service from the staffs. Room was little small, yet comfortable. Bed was fine. Bathroom was OK. Any how, not upto the mark. Needs some improvement in everything which was going on.
