I have just finished my last divine Full English Breakfast after a 3-night stay at Turtley Corn Mill. It is a beautiful, quintessentially English hotel & the staff will go above & beyond for you. I enjoyed a spacious Deluxe Double room overlooking peacocks, chickens & the lake. All bathrooms are furnished with Molton Brown toiletries - a nice treat!...

A really warm welcome awaited us when we checked in and were shown to our room. As we were attending a event in Plymouth that finished late we were given details to find our way ourselves as the bar/restaurant would be shut. Which we did with no problems. Our room was warm, cosy and beautifully decorated in a modern country...

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night as a stop off en route to Cornwall. Very conveniently placed. we were greeted by Denver who showed us to our room - Ruddy. Very nice, fresh, clean and well equipped. After a quick brush up, we had a lovely meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The fish and chips sound boring...

Twelve months ago we made our first visit to Turtley Corn Mill and decided that we would visit again as we considered that this unique retreat was at the top of our list of places to stay. We were warmly greeted by Beth, who took us to our room "Mallard" which we requested as it over looked the garden. As...

Just an overnight stay to visit family. Check in was simple; the room perfectly adequate - spotlessly clean, bathroom fine, bed excellent. The breakfast was enormous, and included in the price. Any reservations? No fresh juice at breakfast. Otherwise, all was just as it should be - not the cheapest around, but well worth it.

Thank you for a lovely review, it is very much appreciated. You're right, of course, for practical reasons being only 6 rooms we have taken the decision not to create fresh juice daily but rather to use Frobishers juices which we feel are otherwise about as good as you can buy. We look forward to being able to welcome you...

We live literally 15 minutes up the road, and after a manic few months of hard slog, my better half treated me to a night away here at Turtley Corn Mill for my birthday. What I needed was certainly delivered... Peace, tranquility, wining& dining, and a good nights rest... The team at this wonderfully kept venue know how to look...

Booked a couple of days away with the hubby and was very pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation. The mill has been converted into a hotel and is a curious blend of old and new. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped, the bed was absolutely superb. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the...

It truly is a converted water powered corn mill. A slightly quirky blend of modern and traditional which works very well. This was a short break in South Devon with my wife and daughter and we can't wait to return, The rooms are very well appointed with powerful showers, huge beds and Sky tv. Breakfast is exceptional and genuinely freshly...

The rooms were of a very high standard, large beds with superb mattresses, very clean and exceptionally equipped to a very high standard, no expense has been spared. If you are peckish after hours there is an honesty (area) with a fridge with cold drinks plus snacks. Breakfast is served downstairs in the pub (quiet lounge area) separate from the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Turtley Corn Mill, which is family owned and run, nestles in six acres of natural gardens with a lake and half a mile of busy river bank. The gardens are home to a big family of ducks, Guinea fowl, chickens and peacocks! We are a well known and very busy restaurant with four recently created high quality hotel rooms. They are all en-suite with free internet, Sky TV, a Nespresso coffee machine, Bush radios and all those little things that make your stay more comfortable and a touch more homely. We serve food all day from a monthly changing menu along with interesting wines and some great west country beers. ... more   less
