What a lovely hotel and our room was gorgeous. The grounds and garden were beautiful with lots of parking. The evening meal and breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and very helpful. With only a short walk into Malton.

I stay here when working in Malton. The staff are lovely, always very helpful and friendly. On my last visit I was disappointed that there was no longer complimentary water in the room however I was given a large bottle of tap water to take upstairs after mentioning it at dinner.

First let me start with the positives! The building itself is absolutely lovely. Beautiful garden, easy to find and lots of parking. The staff were mostly welcoming and helpful and the chef was accommodating of my coeliac and lactose intolerance and made me a lovely cooked breakfast. We stayed in room 2, a room which looks amazing when you first...

What a brilliant place to stay. Short walk into Malton. The staff are fantastic. Both breakfast and dinner are delicious. The bedrooms are lovely, with large comfortable beds. We have stayed here a few times and can't wait to go back.

We had a spontaneous night away and chose the old lodge very last minute. Greeted at reception by Nicola (believe to be wedding manager) she was wonderful. Made the visit so personal and her smile never faltered. Room was a great size and beds were super comfy. Cleaning team deserve a mention as it was spotless! Will definitely be coming...

After a long journey we were warmly welcomed on arrival. Our 'standard' double room was large, warm, and comfortable. There was plenty of room for our clothes (proper wardrobe and chest of drawers) and an abundance of electric sockets for all the electronics we travel with nowadays. But the ambiance was not aggressively modern. The public rooms also were cosy...

Malton and the Old Lodge is a long drive from other parts of the country, but it was very handy for my business trip. The Old Lodge itself is a wonderful historic building, well maintained and extremely comfortable and well furnished. I arrived in the evening after a long drive, so I missed exploring the property and surroundings (which would...

Just had a weekend in room 2 of this very interesting old building. Modern conveniences but within an ancient building. Room very spacious and furnished in keeping with the age/design of the bullding, large, warm, modern bathroom. The staff are excellent and a great credit to the business. Food was good.
