Visited the queens on many occasions. Always welcomed by happy smiling faces from the staff. The girls are really friendly and always try to accommodate customers needs and go above and beyond. The new menu is great , something on there for everybody. The Italian platter is amazing !! Just off the canal so ideal for many. Would defiantly recommend.

The B&B accommodation is in an annexe next to the pub (which quiets down once the bar closes). It is modern, scrupulously clean and boast lovely ensuite shower room. There is a communal kitchen for helping yourself to a complimentary breakfast We were walking the Macclesfield Canal tow path, so this was a great halfway point between Macc and Alsager....

Been coming here for some years and although the beer is still good the food is overpriced, poor choice and not the best quality. The staff have changed dramatically and although they seem to be trying they are aren't as welcoming and friendly as the old staff used to be. Overall a good drinking pub with outside areas for summer.

We had our Christmas meal here and were all very impressed. The choice of seven cask ales included locally brewed beers, a stout and a porter. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The meal itself was really good; huge portions of excellent food. My beef was lean and very nicely cooked, while the Yorkshire pudding was a delight. The...

we had been past this pub on our narrow boat holiday and decided to moor up on our way back, we hadn't realized that a high speed train line ran overhead! but we wandered up the steps to find a seat in the pub, very busy for sunday night, we sat by the fire, ordered a starter and main course,...

From the start we were made most welcome by our host Donna. We were walking the Gritstone trail and this was our oasis for the night. We took two rooms, mine was on the ground floor which had is own bath and a walk-in shower. There is a shared kitchen with tea coffee, juice bread etc. which is clean and...

Stayed here as part of a charity cycle tour. Room was basic but clean and tidy. Bathroom was good with both bath and walk-in shower. Shared kitchen / dining area was excellent with cereals, bread, etc available for breakfast. Would certainly recommend.

Had the loveliest meal at the Queens yesterday. Couldn't believe the quality and value for both mine and my husbands meal. It was so well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We sat in the sun in their huge beer garden surrounded by colourful flower beds and really enjoyed our evening out. Highly recommend to anyone!

To be honest I held back writing this as I have to visit Congleton quite often (I use to live there so have family/friends) and I thought about keeping this gem to myself. For the price this has to be the best accommodation currently offered in Congleton town! Spotless rooms (we took two), very clean modern bathroom and great staff!...

The pub used to have a reputation for good but basic food. Now you are served on a piece of wood thus the amount is meagre my salad consisted of two leaves of lettuce and three pieces of cucumber. Placed on top was some very thin strips of meat. The only reason for any future visits will be for the...
