We arrived here on a bitterly cold evening (1st April!) and the whole place was a delight. Roaring fire in the sitting room and very comfortable sofas. Our room was also tastefully decorated, warm and cosy. House is a handsome Edwardian building and decorated and furnished in keeping with that era, and is spotless. Great attention to detail and delicious...

A very positive experience during our recent 2-night stay. Well positioned in the village, Moorfield House is extremely comfortable and you are made very welcome. Plenty of local advice is available on restaurants, visits and walks, and I would highlight that a nice range of local bottled beers is available, which is useful given the more stringent driving limits now...

Wonderful homely accommodation, great hosts, great breakfast. Comfy warm rooms, cosy beds. Very quiet, no street noises or neighbours. No tv in lounge but radio playing quietly, where there was complimentary coffee & tea available, this made an extremely peaceful & relaxing room to sit in. Various board games & books also available to pass away time if you wished....

My friends and I were on a golfing trip at Nairn and Boat of Garten and stayed at the Moorfield for a night. It was excellent. Good accommodation and a great breakfast which set us up for our round in the morning. I would not hesitate to recommend.

This place cannot be faulted for the efficiency, gorgeous old house, and wonderful breakfasts each morning. The place has fantastic old world charm, beautiful lounge area with open fire place and is absolutely spotless. Rooms were very comfortable. A very practiced and tight ship! A fine line between perfection which they clearly strive for and keeping a less harried demeanor....

We stayed at Moorfield House a few nights ago while touring the area and it was a fantastic experience. The house itself gives you the wow factor and after talking to the owners we were completely happy and relaxed in their house. The house and especially our room was immaculately clean and the breakfast was excellent. We will stay there...

We stayed here for three nights over the new year and it was a lovely stay. The owners clearly go to a lot of effort to run a tight ship and our room (number 6) was meticulously clean and quiet. We asked for this room specifically since it has a bathtub and the owners were kind enough to ensure we...

An attractive venerable home in a quiet, picturesque village, situated next to a handsome old kirk. The room was well furnished and relatively large. The parlour or common area consisted of two nicely furnished rooms. Wi-fi worked throughout the building. Breakfast was ample and very good. Service was adequate and professional if a bit terse. Overall, the atmosphere was rather...

After a rainy night and day in a small tent in the hills of the Cairngorms, we decided to treat ourselves to a night indoors in this wonderful hotel, and what an absolutely great decision that was! The hotel itself is warm, cosy and idyllic with a nice bar with a fireplace and the dinner was extremely nice and well...
