we have stayed for 2 nights. I do agree with the others that this b&b offers all the amenities needed (clean bedroom and bathroom, okish breakfast and quietness), but nothing memorable..the garden is nothing special, maybe it was too hot and the grass was all burnt, breakfast is more on the sweet (and cheap) side, no AC in the room..maybe... I loved the place, very nice and very clean. Violeta made big hearty breakfasts each morning and when my scooter rental fell though she even helped me plan some trips and took me into town to get tickets and drove me to the station. Above and beyond. Highly recommend.

We stay at the Nonna Gavina B&B a few days after Easter. We had the downstars double bedroom, very comfortable with private bathroom with shower. the place is very well kept by the lovely owner Violeta. The breakfast in the morning is very good with lot of choice and uplifting espresso. The property has a huge garden where you can... More

This was a really great place to stay. The house is quiet, comfortable and relaxed, and Violeta is a great host who is generous with her local knowledge and creates a lovely atmosphere, with lots of fun stories about growing up in Sardinia. The location is also great for the beach, and for Sassari and Alghero as well as for... More

Violeta's english is impeccable and her local knowledge was really useful, with plenty of books and maps to browse to plan your trips. The breakfast was great and the welcome was really friendly. The house is clean and tidy and very quiet. The upstairs rooms do not have air conditioning so be warned in August it is incredibly hot. The... More

Before this trip, my wife and I had never been to Sardinia, nor to any other part of Italy. The assistance given by Violeta, the proprietor, ahead of arrival and that offered during our 9 day stay was nothing short of tremendous. We were looking for a real rest from the travails of a heavy work schedule back at home;... More

My wife and I stayed for 5 days at this B&B as we were looking for somewhere off the beaten track, close enough to the beach and small towns but not too touristy. This place was absolutely perfect, the fact that Violetta speaks fluent English and grew up in the area was such a bonus too! I almost did not... More

We (2 adults and 2 teenagers) spent one week at B&B Nonna Gavina and were very happy with our stay. We had booked all three bedrooms. This B&B is newly renovated and situated 15 min walk from the beach at Marina di Sorso. Sorso is a good base for those who want to avoid the tourist crowds. The beach is... More

B&B is set between Sorso and Marina di Sorso, both close to the sea and the town; that makes it very quiet, and sleeping sorrounded by the sounds of nature is priceless... Violeta, the B&B manager, is really kind and well informed about Sardegna (she grew up in Sorso) and her help will be surely precious to know that particular... More

This place is awesome. Other reviews have already said the property is great, which it is... The multi-lingual host ensured language was never a problem during our holiday. She could advise-on and coordinate with other local vendors my active getaway... Quad Biking, Sea Kayaking and other brilliant and active day-trips were organised by the host for me... The Nonna Gavina... More
