An excellent, well-run B&B in the heart of Hadrian's Wall country, with stunning countryside literally minutes away. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, especially not too small. A tasty breakfast, cooked to order, was prepared and served by the owner. Absolutely nothing to fault here, give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

The reading rooms is a B&B in the small town of haydon bridge : they have 3 lovely bedrooms , each with a good sized double AND a single in it , plus potential to fit in cot beds etc .... so am not sure about the overall capacity but perhaps sleeps up to 10???? Spent the weekend there with...

We stayed here for 1 night whilst completing a 3 day bike ride from ravensglass to tynemouth following the Hadrians cycle way. The b & b was perfect for what we needed. Secure storage for the bikes, warm welcome and beautiful comfortable rooms. The breakfast was great and our host couldn't have done anymore for us. He especially went out...

Can't fault it. Perfectly placed in the little village of Haydon Bridge, very convenient for Hadrian's Wall sites. My room was large, comfortable and well stocked with tea & coffee etc. And fresh milk in a flask as an added bonus. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and cooked a cracking breakfast too. I don't think I need to...

We stayed two nights here recently as we were taking part in the Allendale Challenge and The Reading Rooms were perfect for our stay. Brian, our host, was extremely helpful, making sure we knew what we were doing for the challenge and even getting up early to make us a hearty breakfast before we set off on our walk. The...

We have stayed at The Reading Rooms a number of times, as we have family who live in Haydon Bridge. The rooms are excellent, the breakfast was excellent, the location was excellent. We would always use this B&B when visiting Haydon Bridge.

This B and B had so many qualities; really clean and lovely smelling sheets and towels, nice toiletries, all those little things you want in a room (hair dryer, bottled water, coffee, tea and biscuits), a super comfy bed, a really quiet and restful night's sleep but what made it a cut above others was the friendliness, attentiveness and care...

For us this B&B "ticked all the boxes" as they say. The room was warm, clean and spacious. The shower room was of a generous size and the modern shower issued truly hot water. The WiFi reception was excellent. Even though the location was at the centre of the village double glazing ensured a peaceful night's sleep. The beds were...
