There is a beach just across the road from the hotel, next to the harbour. It is quite shallow (like most beaches on the island) and can be noisy from the road and it isn't sandy. There is a beach just past the marina (turn left out of the hotel) which is a bit further away from the road and has very clear water for seeing fish but the sun loungers there are quite uncomfortable. The beach at the other end of Benitses (turn right out of the hotel and carry on past all the shops) has the comfiest sun loungers and is worth the walk (about 15 minutes) if you are spending the whole day on the beach. All the beaches in the area are shingle/pebble. If you are looking for a good sandy beach, get the bus to Agios Georgios from the square by the hotel, about a 30/40 minute bus ride.
