Very tired hotel. Ok for getting showered and having somewhere to sleep. Badly needs renovations, our friends had pools of water in their room and were only moved after notifying reception four times and taking photos, quite dangerous, was advised by a regular visitor to the hotel that this had been an issue in this room for past three years...

We stayed here for 5 days in early September. The hotel is very good and the staff are very helpful. Unlike others, the pool bar was always staffed when we used it. The pool areas are very well landscaped with good areas of shade. The pools are clean and the water is refreshing!! It was 32degrees when we stayed so...

My husband and I stayed here for a week with our two children aged 12 and 11. We absolutely loved this hotel and resort. We were looking for somewhere where we could relax and unwind and this hotel was perfect. The hotel is clean and functional, the pool area is not at all overcrowded and it was a pleasure not...

We had a 'superior' room, which was spacious and clean, good air con. Cleaned daily. Parts of hotel need a bit of TLC as looking tired but clean. Three pools, baby pool, bigger pool and separate adult only pool. No evening entertainment. We had Bed and breakfast. Breakfast average. Usual offerings. Cooked food only luke warm though. Pool bar open...

We booked through Booking.com and the name of the hotel was supposed to be "CVL Clubhouse". However, as they stated in the confirmation, we looked for the "Luz Bay Hotel" and we found it pretty easily. It is a typical beach hotel, with the swimming-pools (three) and the garden in the middle and the rooms overlooking them. It had a...

We were fortunate enough to have a good room but the hotel offers nothing else. Staff are unfriendly and they have no manners. The place has a hostile feel about it. Never a good morning greeting at breakfast. The pool side bar service was a slow and hostile and highly expensive. There was no service with a smile. The sun...

Just managed one night here and it was a pleasant surprise to find this hotel. I know Luz well and this is a good location, easy to the beach. Great selection of foods hot and cold for breakfast. Room was spacious and by one of the pools. Helpful reception staff

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel last week and we were pleasantly surprised by what a very good hotel it is. Well worthy of their four stars. As like many people we read negative reviews from last Spring and wondered what we were going to. As everyone comments the gardens are beautifully maintained and the hotel quiet and...
